I see you finally converted to some quality tires. Leave the reflective strip on, they help make you visible sideways, safety first, especially since you are with your kid.

I don't ride at night or else I would have left them on. I don't think the tire reflects during the day to make a difference. Great tires so far!

While I choose to switch mines to the tan color. I do like how you make them look like the original tires. I agree I like more these tires than the ones we got on the bike. Have a great week !!!!!!

Just tried Marathon Racer (stock on my C Line), I just wanna say I prefer Continental Contact Urban for less rolling resistance!

I loved the Marathon Racers. I only switched to the continental urbans because the racers had a "bumpy" looking tread and I wanted the smooth look again like the Schwalbe One tires that came with it.

As a sane person, I want to be as visible in the traffic, especially during nights, so I hardly understand why you want to remove the security items?🤔

I don't ride this bike at night or I would have left it on.

@@BromptonFamilyTime My absurdly light and expensive Racing-bike had none of any security items, and I asked a Traffic Police man about it. And he said that if only used during day, it would be ok. But if for some reason meeting a night (We have much light during summer in Denmark. And also long distance organized biking, which continues during nights), it will be your problem, unless walking with the bike! Finn. Denmark

In Denmark you are obliged to have reflective items in/on your wheels during the nights, also in front and behind, even with ligths on on your bike.

Same here. I may put the reflectors on the wheel spokes if I use it at night.

I have paid extra to get the reflective part...(Then I added reflective sticks to the spokes too) (Then I added reflective stickers which are shaped 'just so' to the part of the rim that isn't a braking surface) But otoh I do ride when it's dark.

Kojaks are nice, but I use to get a flat with them almost every week for about two months before I gave up on them. I haven't had any problems with the Continental Urbans so far and I haven't been nice to them lol.

Continental makes a foldable (lighter!) "dark tan" wall version of these tyres. Still not a pure black look but if you more anti-reflective sidewall than pro-black sidewall they might be the better solution in addition to being non trivially lighter than the standard urbans.

These are the foldable versions too. I like the all black look. I hope they will become available again.

On a bike there is no such thing as too visible. Getting t-boned is not my happy place

Look versus reliability. Sharpy have lots of solvent that are bad for the rubber...
