@@joshuagraham1800 They did. I don't play on particularly aggressive settings, plus I like to turtle for defense. They were... average, let's say. I mostly used them for hauling and cleaning during their youth. No school because it was so early in the game I had to build more important stuff first. In my experience with natural development, kids will reach god tier Social before adulthood if left to their own devices.

@redge37432 жыл бұрын
Not sure if someone has commented this already but the bouncy pawn behaviour (15:15) is because when pawns get near something they consider an 'enemy' the game enables their collision, which means all those lads stacked up in the hallway have to move back to spread into a single file line. Adam Vs Everything has a video that explains it all much better than I ever could. Loving the videos btw :)
@lag33732 жыл бұрын
combat always collides can be added to prevent that in the future as well, they'll disregard that mechanic entirely and just collide at all times as the name would imply
@laticaudacolubrina27472 жыл бұрын
That "Bouncing" mechanic at 15:22 is part of the base game. The pawns realised they were in combat, and gained collision with each other, resulting in that effect as they all stopped occupying the same tile. I believe the way it's "fixed" is to just make the pawns think they're in combat sooner, but I'm not the best at rimworld combat myself. Keep up the great work, your colonies are real fun to watch :)

Great use of Doors Expanded are the 3x1 remote doors. You can put turrets behind them and while the doors are open they have free firing lines and when the enemy comes too close or a shield is about to collapse you can close the doors remotely and the raiders move on. Also the benefit of a fire maze is that it is self cleaning
@mrphoenix5951 Жыл бұрын
but you do lose lots of loot
@majormajorasic Жыл бұрын
@@mrphoenix5951 Once you got fire maze going you don't really need loot from raiders. And if you got the mod that rebalances raiders to be less numerous and stronger individually with suicide packs to off-set the equipment wealth they clean themselves up.

Times like this I'd recommend raising some sort of underground cattle. Dwarves in the Dragon Age universe have a thing called Nugs, which is like a capybara mixed with a naked mole rat and serves as a primary source of meat. Having a Milk Beetle or two might not be a bad idea either if you have the insectoids expanded added.

Pawns bouncing around is from when their collision becomes active, usually happens when they're fired at or when they go near something combat related. Put a powered down turret enclosed in walls at the entrance to the tunnel and they'll finish their bouncing around before entering. Important for high pawn count raids like late game tribal raids.

Dwarves like shiny things, so I see the glow akin to that. Or at the very least it's more extravagant than a normal plant and dwarves are also greedy ;D It's not quite gems but I would see them being akin to a waterfall in being a natural phenomenon that gives them happy thoughts. :3
