I could see the visible slow down on stage 1, in areas where the SNES could handle without slowdown. I thought the GB advance was more advanced than the SNES and it had lower resolution. s the slowdown coming from the GB Advance link data transfer?

It could just be that this isn't a high quality port, so it slows down more easily than it should. I personally don't think the link cable has anything to do with it, but I can't easily test this, because even though I think that both players shooting makes it slow down, the link cable needs to be used to get the second player.

Well it’s still 3 at its heart they just put 2 Hard Corps levels in place of the Mode 7 stages cuz I think they couldn’t do that here maybe?

Its about time someone does a two player mode of this game! I myself actually asked NintendoComplete if he would do a two player longplay of this game because he already did a longplay solo. He told me he didn't have anyone else to do it and that it would be too complicated for him to set up. Here you are to prove him wrong!

I don't think it's too complicated to set up, but he might not have known about mGBA, which I consider a lot easier to use for GBA link, compared to something like Visual Boy Advance. As for not having anyone to play it with, that's very understandable. I believe if you couldn't play the game locally with someone, the program "Parsec" could be used to play this over the internet, but I don't consider that to be the best way to play it.

Yeah it's *notoriously* known for its trash sound. Konami really dropped the ball.on this one. Using the contra hardcorp stages to replace the overhead ones to compensate was a welcome surprise

There are many changes in the GBA version from the SNES/GB version. 1. Stage 2 is not situated in the highway, it was situated on a train instead due to GBA's graphical limitations thus Stage 4 is omitted. 2. Players cannot hold 2 weapons thus you can't use weapons simultaneously due to button limitations of the GBA unlike the SNES version.

When you know the great Contra 3 - The Alien Wars: This game here is a poor version of it - because it's massive cropped and there are no topdown-levels (I like them!) - instead, there are levels from Contra - Hard Corps (Also a great game!)

I haven't played through the entire Sonic Genesis, but from what I remember about it, I would say this game is better. While definitely not nearly as good as the original SNES Contra 3, I still consider the game to be playable enough.
