I've just picked up a Sylvaneth Spearhead and this is exactly what I was looking for in terms of colour schemes. Glad I found you.

Lovely! Reminds me of an old wood elf army from i think like 7th/8th ed whfb. In one white dwarf i remember it had a similar scheme. Its such a good match!

White Dwarf had some great inspiration back in those days. Lots of cool seasonal Wood Elf armies!

Amazing video as always…yes more Sylvaneth…I’d like to see Drycha and a Treelord….also what color would you do Revenant “flesh?”
@MattsHobbyHour3 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! I think I would use Kroak Green for Revenant skin. The box art looks a little too blue for an Autumn/Fall scheme.

Now that would be a really neat idea, a fall themed gaming table. I don't think I've seen one of those before. Thanks for watching and for your support!

Looks good Mr. Matt. Just curious how many armies you have on the go at once? I have two or three armies or games I cycle through plus a terrain piece on the go as well, occasionally sprinkling in a random mini or two when I'm in the mood for something different. Thanks for the great video.

Thanks Shane! I have nearly all the Warhammer Fantasy/Old World armies at some level of progress. That's where my hobby heart lies. Most of those armies were collected during the old days. I chip away at them as I have the time. For 40k I have a few Tyranids, and I also have a 2nd/3rd edition Ultramarines army in progress, thought I haven't worked on that much lately. Anything else on the channel (AOS especially) is likely just a one-off model for fun. I had a lot more fully painted armies in the past, but since I don't really game very much I ended up selling them to fund other hobby expenses.

I love this color scheme. I was wondering what colur would you use for the skin of the tree revenants?

Thanks! I have a video for painting one of the medium size trees, a Kurnoth Hunter I think. I believe I used skeleton horde.

Great Work Mat. How do you manage brush control when highlighting ?14:39
@MattsHobbyHour3 ай бұрын
thanks! I think brush control is all about anchor points; bracing fingers against the model, fingers against other fingers, wrists against the table, etc. The more anchor points you establish, the steadier everything will be. It's a lot tougher while filming, just because I don't want my hands to get in the way. Sometimes I'm painting with my hands in really awkward positions in order to get a good shot (the time you linked, where i'm highlighting the leaves with toxic yellow, i'm kind of awkwardly bracing my finger against the weapon blade. Ideally I want more anchor points than that). Usually I try to cradle the model in one hand, hold the brush with the other, and use any spare fingers to brace against each other/the model. Hope this helps and good luck!
