It consistently baffles me how clean your contrast paint work is. I am painting an army with this method for the first time and over half of my time is spent going back over areas that got onto the wrong places. I admire the brush control, I hope to get there eventually!

I ordered one of these boxes and I can’t wait to be painting it! I know some of the rules updates weren’t so great but I’ve never let that get in the way of me and great looking minis lol. Something about the medieval look of these guys really speaks to me. Great work as always

Faced this problem myself using an old knight earlier! Also this wraithbone base looks much lighter than mine

Honestly just go the route of base coating screaming skull and then recess shading with seraphim sepia or skeleton horde. This way when you make mistakes onto the bone armour, you can also just correct them with pure screaming skull rather than slowly glazing it on to make sure it matches the wraithbone + seraphim tinted midtone.

you need to use new version of shade (shades were reworked in 2022). Otherwise use Skeleton Horde + Medium mix

@@ShiftyMocasins I was thinking about it, and maybe this is why…. He wants the DAGreen to just cover/flow better, so he used the Lahmian. I think Josh would have used the Contrast Medium it would have just ended up flowing into the cavities more than he wanted. Maybe he’ll reply and let us know :)

How do you avoid the brush strokes showing up when you're applying the sepia wash?

Damn, I literally started this project myself a couple of hours ago and used Skeleton Horde contrast and now my Termies look much darker like a creamy brown colour, which i thought was light enough but seeing this.. I should have used Sepia shade which I also have! Any suggestions on what i can do to lighten their armour and get closer to that bone white colour you produced?

I've tried both and I prefer a 50/50 mix of Skeleton Horde with Contrast Medium works better for me

Interested why you went with Seraphim Sepia and black legion. Your older videos for death wing were Skeleton horde w contrast medium and Black Templar. Was there a reason for this? Sepia just easier?
