He changed the outcome of the race I think. If you look, Shelly had to swerve out of the way of him and slow down a bit, causing her to be forced to move closer to the 1st place racer and make up her lost speed. If he didn't do that Shelly would've made it in front as she was already going faster.

@Jessie James Oh right, I forgot, you have to be a paramedic to help lift wheelchairs off of disabled people who are in a 6 person pile up, with 6 wheelchairs. Yeah, just let them lay there with wheelchairs on ontop of them, until a paramedic can show up. Good call, about as good of a call, as keeping the race going while 6 people who can't walk, are tangled up in a pile of wheel chairs, instead of pausing the race to clear the track, and make sure everyone is safe. You'know like in every other racing event.

And the crash was into intentionally and maliciously caused by one of the leading racers. Bruh what a wreck of race
@unknownentity7964 Жыл бұрын
@@BrettonFerguson Doing wheelies is the easiest way to move and turn freely in a racing wheelchair (when not in a race). This is because you can only do slight/gentle turns with the front portion and wheel the ground, so we usually wheelie into position and away at the end of the race. So her wheelie likely wasn't for fun but was her preparing to move when the track was safe to do so without ending up more in the way. Also, it'd be more dangerous to start moving across the track with the race still active, so it's safer for the racers who crashed to stay in place until the other racers had passed by and finished

I think the comment is trying to point out the redundancy of saying ‘see’ twice. But what he said makes sense. We ‘saw’ it the first time, but first time watchers probably didn’t see what actually happened, they just saw everything go to shit. In the replay we can see what happened. You’re trying to dunk on a live commentator’s grammar and failing miserably because you can’t even understand a basic sentence. If you tried to do that guys job your lips would turn to jelly. Even if he did misspeak, it happens all the time in commentary as it’s live conversation and it’s a skill to correct yourself coherently live. Overrated comment.

I remember a few years back, the woman that won gold in this race, Diane Roy came to my school to talk about the Paralympic and she mentioned this race. It's a wonder that this is in my recommendation now and I got a flashback to her talking about this and how she felt disappointed when she was told there was going to be another race because of the crash. She reasoned that, in a race such as this, speed isn't the only thing you need, that you have to be able to get out of situations like this one. I agree with this but I also agree with the decision to redo the race
