Love the new skit twist... great mix of humor and helpful info. Take a bow- most youtubers struggle with this...

Good job saying “we’re” instead of “I’m”. Another great video!

Ha! I was wondering how many people would pick that up. Thanks!

I love the fact that you censor out the wake words for each device, I've never seen any youtuber do that and it's really awesome. Little things that you think of like that is one of the many reasons why I recently subscribed to you.
@UndecidedMF5 жыл бұрын
I didn't do that in my very early videos and I really regret it. Learned from that mistake! Thanks for watching and subscribing.

Hey Matt that was excellent! Learned so much and tightened up my security a lot. There were things you pointed out I never thought about. Thanks so very much

Now that funny, 3 Matts and you kept it going with "we're Matt Ferrell ". Very cool. Great informative video. See no reason to "breakup with her", just have to clean her up. Lol. Locked down already, thanks Matt.

Matt, I'm so curious to know how you did that especially with having two of you in the same frame.

You're becoming the go-to advisor. I just discovered Tuya devices, apps, etc. They claim to be able to unite all disparate smart devices, no matter what system, into one unified system. Please have a look and perhaps an opinion about them and Tuya Smart app. Thanks.

Thanks, Ira. Great suggestion! I’m going to dive into Tuya ... looks interesting.

I've had a Google Mini in my home for about a month now and my partner is slowly coming around to having an assistant. He was super skeptical at first and didn't like how Google was constantly listening but then again, so is Siri on his phone, right? And he's fine with that. I watched a lot of the Google I/O presentations and I'm really excited about some of the features/updates that are coming and can definitely see me moving more towards Google Assistant than Siri when it comes to my (eventual) home automation :)

I was very happy to see a bunch of the changes that Google is rolling out, as well as the Google Nest Hub Max. A lot of exciting stuff! Putting together a video on Google IO and some of the new hardware now.

Knowing what you know now, if you had to start all over again with one virtual assistant platform, which one would you choose?
@UndecidedMF5 жыл бұрын
That’s a tough one. I’d want to go Siri, but Apple still needs to fill a couple gaps like cheaper speakers and more third party support (they’re getting there). But taking that future potential out of the equation.... Google.

So recently iv noticed when I get close to my Amazon echo dot I hear white noise coming out of the speaker while it's just sitting. It's always doing this. Is that normal do u Kno?
@UndecidedMF5 жыл бұрын
That's not normal. I wonder if it's playing something (or trying to).
@olivrose92265 жыл бұрын
@@UndecidedMF do u know if there is a way to make it stop? It's creeping me out for sure. Iv unplugged it numerous times cuz.. it's creepy! And when i plug it back in the sound is still there. I tried turning the volume all the way down or hitting the mute button, even asking Alexa what it was.
@billjamal47644 жыл бұрын
Idk man, I can't really trust google, Amazon, facebook, or apple. Facebook and Google both were tracking my location, regardless of my privacy settings. This really bothers me. (Kinda being a hypocrite since I'm on KZbin, but these services are starting to act more like malware to me these days.

Too complicated to turn these things off by app. Should be possible by voice command alone. Obvious really !
