That was an excellent mini serie. I really liked it. I liked the fact that there was a lot of argumentation and reflexions on why using that technique that way... it was'nt just : "do this, or that..." suposing it's the best without any arguments. Thank you very much !

Hey Rory, hey Stephan! great stuff! I work in Corrections myself. I learned that Kind of Approach in various systems/ concepts, too: i learned it in Gracie Jiu Jitsu, trained it at an ISR Matrix Seminar(Luis Gutierrez/Paul Sharp), where you can use the "helmet" to Close distance to get to a clinch position, in "Crazy Monkey Defense" from my former Coach/Rigan Machado Blackbelt Rodney King (for example using the "3 Point cover" to get in Close to clinch)...we train that in BJJ self defense a lot and it works just fine. Depending on the Opponent sometimes with Bodylock Clinch, Greco/over/underhook-headcontrol-arm control, underhook and pike (ISR), etc....from the clinch the Options are endless, depending on the context (LE, Self Defense, Sport).... Keep up the great work! Greetings from Germany

Would be super ironic if someone actually used an Aikido throw for self defense and got sued for excessive force.
