My goodness - I am just finding out now after really searching a lot during several years. Based on yesterday's BigSky plugin announcement, I posted that I wanted an editor/controller - Strymon replied that Nixie 2 is coming early next year. Wait - Nixie 2? so I missed out on Nixie all this time - many thanks for the video!!

Thank you for the video and info. If you have multiple devices connected via midi, Nixie can see all of the devices. Just need to have each device on a unique midi channel.

Thanks! I couldn't use my J Rockett Archer and Mobius together without this firmware update, now the noise is gone. Strymon's software looks like it was made in the 80's.

I bought three different midi/usb cords before I got one to work with Nixie, but once since then it's been extremely helpful. I recommend the Roland UM ONE midi cable, its the cheapest one I could find that works well with Nixie. Apparently, class compliant midi/usb devices will NOT work with Nixie. Just an FYI based on a lot of trial and error. Thanks for the tutorial!

Hi ! Thanks for your video. Did you ever have issues by swaping presets. Sometimes when I change my set list i lose the program presets or some settings disappear and i don't know why. I'm on the latest firmware, using Nixie & win10. Let me Know.

UPDATE: I just got it to work. I had to connect 2 midi cables the in AND the out. Not so for when I updated the firmware... Strange... I updated the firmware with SysEx Librarian so my midi is connected however I cannot connect to the Strymon Timeline with Nixie no way now how. I tried 2 different midi devices relentlessly, but it will not connect. MIDI on the Strymon is OK. I connected again with SysEx Librarian but no connect with Nixie. Any ideas? Thanks!

Glad I can help. The update did not delete my presets on my Mobius or Timeline, so you should be good. Just make sure you don't disconnect the Mobius during the update.

Hello Following problem with my Gigrig G3 and Timeline: Let's say I want in Preset 1 (from Gigrig) a Delay Time 100ms, Preset 2 a DT of 200ms and Preset 3 a DT of 300ms. At this stage I have managed that P1 sets 100ms, P2 and P3 both set 200ms. If I change the DT of either P2 or P3 to 300ms it also changes the DT of P2 or P3. What am I missing? What am I doing wrong? To clarify: I know how to save on the Timeline. Thanks for your help!

Hey Man, wots up? Ive been having some issues with my ES-8 and Strymon Timeline and Mobius... When I set the MIDIs to work the Strymons go nuts, meaning that when I press the buttons for bank ou patch changing on the Strymons they do not function properly... bank up goes counting down... Patches do not activate... Gets really messy... If tou could help me with this matter... Thanks a bunch

Pretty sure the ES-8 is sending Control Changes (CC) to your pedals as well. When you set up a Program Change (PC) the ES-8 defaults to sending two CC's, 80 and 81 as well. These are tied to the A and TAP footswitches, so weird stuff can happen with the Timeline and Mobius. Make sure to set the CC values to OFF and you should be golden.

OMG, I've been looking for this info. I send to my timeline a PC to change to a bank and it goes to the bank but the looper light goes red an displays LOOPER. I changed the remaining unused MIDI's (3-8) cc's to OFF. I'm going to make sure my used MIDI slots CC's are off or just send 102 and 127 to jut turn it on. Your videos are a total help, thanks so much for taking the time to make them.

Hey, awesome video! Thank you! I have an ES-5 and Timeline and they are connected via MIDI in a series loop ( so interface -> ES-5 -> Timeline -> interface ). I can load up Nixie and see my pedal and can change the patch ( selected preset ), but I cannot WRITE any changes to the pedal. It shows the WRITE step in the bottom right corner but nothing changes on the pedal and Nixie still shows the give patch as Yellow ( indicating and un-synced change ). As you have an ES-8, I was wondering what your MIDI configuration is and if you have similar problems writing changes to your Timeline via Nixie? Timeline MIDI Globals: MIDICH: 2 MIDICT: ON MIDIPA: ON MIDITH: MERGE MIDIST: OFF BigSky MIDI Globals: MIDICH: 3 MIDICT: ON MIDIPA: ON MIDITH: MERGE MIDIST: OFF My ES-5 MIDI Settings: MIDI Out Mode: THRU Rx Ch: 10 I have asked Strymon support also but am still waiting to hear back and was hoping you might have some insight. Hmmm, I don't have my pedal board handy but MIDITH might have to be changed to THRU. I don't know if that will fix it. Otherwise, I would try plugging the interface directly into the Timeline or BigSky. I can't remember if I plugged directly into the interface or not. As a note, once it's set up correctly the pedal settings should change in real time while you're making changes in Nixie.
