Nice. Try connecting it to channel 5 or 6 Than with the turn knob you can control the speed of the winch. Now you have more control when winching and its super realistic .

That's what I was thinking too 🤔 but I don't want to accidently get confused and leave the switch really slow in the say reverse position. Then burn stuff out lol 😆 yep i totally would! Thanks brother

Glad I found this video. My gt5 will be here Friday and I'll finally have my build up and running and been wondering what all I could use the other channels for. Do you know a different link for the winch you used because the one you had is expired now or will this work with any winch?

I think you have more power with 1040 esc as winch module. It have dragbrake and more voltage. Just pull the red wire to receiver. And power the 1040 to battery you will be good

Im trying to install it but before i powered it on i noticed the jst connector wires connected red wiee to black wireso i did not connect it fearing smoking the receiver and winch and controller. Anybody else have the same cross connected jst wires?

@@arkansasrcnewbie i asked the person i bought it from and he asked the manufacturer. Im told its intentionally cross wired and should use it. But im still afraid of using it

If that for battery source or power source you will burn that. But if that in output wires you should be okay. Brushed motor just using plus and minus, you can switch that line but it will run backward. Just reverse it on transmitter.

🤣 OH NO!! Man that's a bummer, the winch worked great for me and I bought another 2. The only thing is I left it on accidently and I burnt out the motor. But replacement was like $12 and I also filmed it 👍🏻

2:24 no. Thats an RC switch. Not a receiver. You might consider learning about what you're installing before posting a tutorial
