The magazine toss at the eight minute mark is _probably_ not a good idea in real world situations, or against other players that can see an empty mag being flung, and recognize a window of opportunity. Just a thought.

Oh, and just remember, lads and ladies: If you wanna repeat after this guy, there are two rules: 1: Toss for distance 2: If it's not into the crossfire, it doesn't count. Bonus points if you hit your enemy, double if you hit their exposed face. You better break their nose.

@@MrAdrien914 in most competitive shooters, the fundamentals still apply, if your whole team has no idea how to cover eachother's flanks or blind spots, you need to have a huge skill gap to compensate for that. It happens all the time, everyone gets in a room all barrels are looking front and no one checks the corner with shotgun dude. IMO room clearing and moving together still apply in competitive shooters, they just give them fancy names like entry fragger and all that jazz.

That reloading segment gave me a fond memory I’m going to gloat about. I play paintball all the time, and usually I run a mag fed mg-100 as opposed to faster shooting electrics with hoppers. Despite the name the gun I use has 10-20 rounds depending on the mag, electric players and even other mag fed players learn to listen to when a mag is out of ammo since it’s the best time to push. This concept however is so much fun to exploit. One time I was in an around 15 ft fight with someone Dumping paint at me, to the point where it didn’t matter where I peaked out if it was for a second I’d be out, after a minute of this standoff and my team winning on the opposite side of the field I assumed he was getting impatient so I decided to peak once and shoot with my mag out of my gun, yell “damn” and throw a dummy mag out of the bunker where it was just visible. Instantly I hear him spray the wall and i knew he was moving with it, I waited i tiny bit so I knew he was out of cover and sent 3 to his mask when I peaked out the opposite side, andddddddd one to his balls so I had to help him up and walk off the field to make sure he was fine. So many great non-fatal war-stories in the world of paintball XD

In playing onward, I have been putting on actual gear- web gear, side arm and knife, a backpack with full weighting inside, ect. It's been super fun! I want to take time with teammates and just practice walking. Half of the team will be pushing fast, the other gets left behind, it's a mess most times. But still, those moments when we are all in sync, silently communicating while crawling through the subway rails, are magical.

Only thing I wish they improved on Onward: muzzle flash. I really don't ever see muzzle flashes, and only a percentage of rifles have cans. Muzzle flashes are a major reason why cover is broken and the source of a threat can be identified. But in this sim, it just doesn't stand out like it should.

#5 Method and Discipline (Delegation) Excellent information you are giving to the gaming community. You might have realized this but these fundamentals/foundations are going to change video games as technology continues to improve. By seeking and implementing high standards of gunfights, you are attracting like-minded players to display unprecedented levels of play that can apply to most multiplayer games. When done correctly, it is the same essence as orchestrating a symphony. Only with a different energy. Showing players these advanced fundamentals (with practice) greatly enhance their chances of victory. I believe the REAL magic will unfold when the OPFOR displays the same high standard fundamentals all are familiar with. Great work you’re doing here, CPG.
