I wish Onward would do something like Pavlov with the Push gamemode, or allow modding that would let modders do it. Onward is supposed to be a MilSim yet it's a 5v5 game, not even 12v12. Pavlov literally does a better MilSim with Push, other than the horrid TTK and absurd recoil.

originally it was intended to be increased to become an 8v8 but unfortunately Onwards development has been anything but ideal. i wouldnt be at all surprised at this point if they've actually forgotten about that plan.

onward is meant to be more of a "mission" kind of game. its meant to be a small squad executing a mission behind enemy lines and stuff like that. its not a infantry fps like squad is but it would be cool if onward did a 12v12 or something like that. but onwards main purpose is not to be like squad, etc

@@ControlledPairsGaming between Mark Zuckerberg mentioning Onward 2 and the lack of proper updates for Onward the only logic explaination is that soon after downpour got acquired they shifted focus to Onward 2. Sadly this is only speculation and other than Mark's post there has been no information on Onward 2

you can buy a gun stock that simulates recoil. not tried it myself so cant say how good or not it feels but the guys who make them are a lovely bunch and their other stocks are all great.

Is there a trick to bolt actions and bipods in Onward? I can't seem to cycle the bolt without loosing my position, I'd like to just let go with me right (dominant) hand to run the bolt, and leave my left gripping the forend to hold the gun.

Run the bolt with your left hand. It's ass but it's the best way unfortunately.

I use a physical gunstock and it helps holding the gun in position with support hand while cycling the bolt with the shooting hand a lot

Maybe its just the Quest 2, but Turbine is unplayable in Co op mode. After a couple minutes it just stops spawning enemies. You can run through the entire map and not find anyone. I feel like they need to rework the spawns in Turbine Co op.

They did a supply point redistribution which kinda sucks imo. AI still frustrating etc etc... The game is in desperate need of new content and better COOP gameplay.

@@ControlledPairsGaming I wish smokes and pistol accessories didn't have to be worth 2 points... I often have a single point left over that I can't use because I already have a pistol and there's no other 1 point option. It's fun to have a fully kitted MK18 in 5v5 modes now though.

@@JustFeral I've played PS2 games with waaaaaayyy better AI than what is currently in Onward. The Quest 2 is definitely more powerful than a PS2, so it's more that the devs just haven't taken the time to optimize and make good AI. I've bugged the devs about it on steam, and they said they're interested in improving the AI, but it's not going happen in the near future. Since they've sold out to Meta they probably have less freedom for what they can include in their updates, and have had less time to work in between scheduled publishing dates.

you're probably already aware but if you're just playing co-op vs AI then downloading the 1.7 version of the game will give you a much better experience. the AI is far more interesting and wont just run blindly at you. they also work in squads.
