I love that Ben went from being reluctant to start being in Cristines videos, to comfortably telling a story about how he ate straight bowls of hummus to the point of taking a massive gassy poop that set off his carbon monoxide detector. Character development.

The most annoying thing that people say is “It’s all going to end up in the same place!”...Yes, it ends up as shit, but it doesn’t mean it tastes good. Disclaimer: I'm Italian and I work in the dairy industry, so I am essentially biased, BUT.... When I hear people (especially non-EU people) talk about cheese, my tiny Italian heart skips a beat. I immediately become real sad because in many places "cheese" equals to either Cheddar of some sort, some weird imitation of Mozzarella and very few other options. If I think of the hundreds of types of cheese that exist around Europe and around the world, it physically pains me to think that some folks only get to know 3 kinds of cheese in their entire life! Like, OF COURSE you'd get bored of cheese or lose the taste for it if it's always the same stuff! I very much understand those who don't like it because they dislike cheese as a category, but really, anyone else who likes cheese but loses interest or taste for it is just a poor unfortunate soul! The world of milk transformation is unimaginably big and colourful and a real joy to witness day by day, I wish everyone could just have a taste of it that went beyond cheddar and fake mozzarella!

I was going to bring up dessert hummus! Beans don't really have much taste on their own, so normal hummus is mostly savory flavors like garlic and cumin and salt in a chickpea setting. If you don't add the savory flavors but instead add sugar and vanilla and chocolate and peanut butter, you can get chocolate hummus that also tastes really good! Instead of pita chips, put it on graham crackers or apples.

You kind of have to not think of it as "hummus" but rather a sweet bean dip. I'm making brownie batter black bean dip right now (because black bean brownies are totally a thing and they taste good, just not as good as actual brownies). Asian pastries have sweet red bean (adzuki) filling, so sweet bean mush is not that bizarre!

I am the Ben in the relationship. I eat everything separately and when I love something, I want lots of it. Christine is right as well though, those kinds of people are usually terrible at balancing life. When I got into make up, that's all the videos I watched and all the purchases I made, same thing afterward when I got into skincare. And then I bought a dog and I joined so many dog groups, made many friends of people with dogs so I could socialize mine, started BAKING dog cookies, even though I hated cooking before... Click the speaker icon on any dictionary definition and it has the pronunciations out loud. www.dictionary.com/browse/bagel The standard English rule is: A single consonant in the middle of a multi syllable word (one g in bagel) means it's preceded by a long vowel. (aaay) A double consonant ( like the 2 gs in baggage) means it's preceded by a short vowel. Of course there are exceptions because English is full of exceptions, but if you don't know how to pronounce a word, the standard rule is the best starting place.

Cristine put it perfectly when she was explaining her putting flavors together simply because you like them both. I have a “weird” flavor palate and often like weird combinations of flavors. BUT I actually am more like Ben in the fact that unless I want my food mixing, I hate having my foods touch on my plate. I want potatoes and I want beans but I don’t want the juices from the peas WITH the potatoes. Tbh I want to buy one of those kiddy trays just to keep my foods from touching lol

Responding to the whole Ranch topic: Store bought ranch is honestly awful, but homemade ranch is WAY better IMO. We make it all the time at my house (basically coconut milk, egg, a bit of olive oil, seasonings like salt and garlic powder, and herbs) and it’s totally different. It’s a lot thinner and less artificial tasting, and if you don’t like the basic Hidden Valley ranch or whatever it’s best to try making a bit at home. Just a bit of a ✨ life hack ✨

I don't even do that and it's better than store bought. We use the hidden valley ranch seasoning, milk, and mayo. Then I add a bit of other seasoning and mix it up. Hidden valleys premade stuff is just so artificial but the milk and mayo "water" that taste down.
