Common sense tells you that full time officials would be beneficial. Force teams to have a scrimmage every Wednesday, pre season, so these guys can practice. There's lots they can do to help. And, on top of that, if these guys' livelihoods depend on their officiating job rather than on their insurace salesman salary during the week, maybe they'll behave like the job is more than a weekend hobby. The proof is in the pudding. I have been watching the NFL for sixty five years and the officiating sucked sixty five years ago and it still sucks. So you have a sixty five year sample of whatever they are doing with the officiating doesn't work. Full time officiating would go a long way to helping. Not only that, full time officials in the booth reviewing things. They need to do it much faster, much more decisively, and much more accurately. Find a way for them to practice and hone their craft rather than having them muddle their way thru the reviews on game day. Where there's a will, there's a way. And there's no will. The league is making money hand over fist. There is no urgency to "fix" anything. Not to mention they are too busy to lift their heads up from the trough to pay real attention to anything. They obviously have no pride, because, if they did, they would have the pride to improve their product from the putrid officiating.

The Minutes:: - Chiefs get all the big calls, but there is no organized conspiracy. -You can’t not watch the Super Bowl in protest because that would just be denying yourself happiness, plus it’s probably unAmerican. Also, you always play that numbers box thing every year (which Mike & Family often win, btw) and you want to be able to follow that. - NFL officiating will only get better with technology and automation, not full time work, but it must be done in a way that does not slow down the game. - If you ever find yourself believing things that Roger Goodell says, go back and listen to how he dismissed the concussion stuff. - St. Johns will get between a 2 and a 4 seed, but will run into trouble by the Sweet 16 because they don’t shoot well. - The St. Johns and Uconn coaches do not like each other. - Golf is in trouble. - The NBA is in trouble - Is Jalen Hurts great? No. Is he a winner? Yes. - If the Giants think one of the top 2 QBs are the answer then they should trade up. - Bills/Giants was the best Super Bowl that he and Dog went to.

I'm a Francesa fan, but it's really sad to hear him spend what amounts to an entire hour (between this episode and last) just bitching and moaning about calls made OVER A WEEK AGO. I'm not saying the particular calls were correct, and you'll NEVER hear me say NFL refs don't suck and need to improve...but this shit isn't new. Are you kidding me?? You think people complaining about the refs, or insisting that certain teams and players "get all the calls" is some new phenomenon?? If there is one single thing that has NEVER changed throughout the history of sports, it's people complaining about calls and/or feeling like their teams got screwed!! Mike knows that as well (if not better) than anyone, but he NEVER used to spend a lot of time whining about it. Why? Because he knew: 1) it wasn't new, 2) it wasn't going to change, and 3) it's not good radio. But now? Apparently he's just got so little to say and contribute, he spends the 2 hours or so each week echoing what literally everyone else (on TV, Radio and on social media) has already said. Go ahead and put chips in the balls. Review face-mask calls, QB slides, change the rules, do whatever you'd like...people are still going to complain, fan bases will still be pissed, and debatable calls will still be made. So by all means, encourage the league to throw even MORE flags and create even more delays that kill momentum and make the games unwatchable. Good luck with that.

The Texans were NEVER winning that game against KC, and if Buffalo had gotten the 1st down everyone's crying about, then what? They MIGHT have scored a TD and gone up by 8--hardly a guarantee, and even if they had, there were 13 minutes left in the game!! You don't think Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs would have scored 8+ points over the course of 13 minutes if they'd needed to? Come on now. I'm all for the refs in the NFL being better and getting the calls right, but this ridiculous notion that it's intentional and somehow favors KC is just nauseating.
