I had a questionnaire scale of 30 items and 8 constructs. I conduct EFA and had to remove some items. I end up with 6 factors and 24 items. My question is how do I continue from this point to validity analysis? For convergent and discriminant validity shall I consider the original scale or the one after EFA?

Average Loading the average the values in the Pattern Matrix for AC and EP respectively. For variance extracted, the square of each average loadings. Check component correlation matrix for correlation...

Thanks for the video, i have both nominal and ordinal variables in my likert-scale questionnaire. Should i use criterion-related validity or construct validity (convergent and discriminant) to check the validity of the instrument? Or should i do both of them in the same study? i saw that for nominal variable, there are some restrictions so i am a little bit confused. Your reply will really help me.

Could you tell me please how to test validity for questionnaires with 5-point-likert scale where I have 22 statements and they represent 4 variables and not 2 like Brand satisfaction, brand trust, behavioural brand loyalty and attitudinal brand loyalty.I am sooooo confused about testing validity and I don't know how to do it((((( I thought we need to compare every item from one variable but you did it with two variables... and for example I want to test only convergent validity.... how to do that?(( Please help me as soon as possible I am writing a thesis((

Hello, I would like to ask how you got the correlation value. I think for Average Loading we just compute the average the values in the Pattern Matrix for AC and EP respectively. For variance extracted, I think it's the square of each average loadings and then variance extracted between AC and EP is computed by taking the average of variance extracted for AC and EP. But I still don't know how to get the correlation. Hope someone could help. Thanks
