What a sweet conversation, my father didn’t have the best father figure either but he worked so hard for us to not live and go through the terrible things he went through.

Hi chip and chips dad.. lovely talk …it was nice to get to know you and your father. My husband, went through the same thing with his father, and he made the decision to be a better father to our kids..so it comes down to you, making the choice to be a better father, and person and especially God help …:) chip It would be so nice one day when your sons get older, and have their kids . For them to have the same talk with you . ❤God bless 😊

I appreciate Chip's heart to wanting to know his dad's story. 😀Thank you to Chip's father for sharing and through the grace of God persevering to break the generational trauma from the past.

I love what your Daddy said, “I’m not going to be a VICTIM anymore!” My Momma use to tell me, “You have a choice to be a Victim or you can be a VICTOR!” After all the terrible things I’ve been through in life I chose to be a VICTOR! I might not have much to offer to others but one very important thing I’ve chosen to do in my life is to never meet a stranger! A simple hello, how are you today?! Can make a great difference in someone’s life! My oldest 2 children joke and say to me, “Mommy you have never met a stranger!”

Thank you Chip for your interview. I call what your dad did, "changing his stars". I did it too and as a result, my children have lived a life I never knew but always desired. God Bless you and again, thank you for sharing!

I loved his Dad. Breaking the generational problems. I had to do the same thing. Chip I felt was pushing on his Dad to move this along Dad. Maybe Chip had heard the story but we have not. So sad.

I think they were trying to keep it under a certain time limit to avoid a ton of editing and to be able to fit it in a time slot when airing it.

I think the critical difference is God's grace. When you learn how to forgive those who hurt you and then receive God's grace to heal and become who you were born to be, then it all works out. God bless~
