Good to see Kinnock still in top form. He was a good and passionate politician whom a lot of people respected. As a student when he was the head of the labour party, he was my hero and enjoyed his speeches. What an inspiration.

Wonderful. I've only ever seen Kinnock in his more blustering mode. A very persuasive and precise thinker who articulates himself incredibly well. I really enjoyed this video, thanks for posting it.

Had he won the 92 election, Labour (ONCE again!) should've taken the blame for a striking pound crisis september that year (black Wednesday). Not sure a labour government with a narrow majority might have been capable of recovering from that. Kinnock had indeed great personality, knowledge and skills as a leader, but not sure he might've been lucky as a PM.

the video was recorded in 1994. So Kinnock looks much older today. But in agreement that Kinnock was a good politician and truly for the common person, when he was "old labour". I was told he became more center right later. but i am from the usa so maybe you can tell me if that was true

Couldn't be more right about the media. Amazing the similarity from 1994

He was lucky enough to be a decent singer and to be born welsh, as my grandmother :-)

He never had much luck, did he? Maybe he was too 'nice' to really carve a historic premiership.
