How secure is this on big drops, jumps, black tech trails, etc?

This Merida frame? I had a similar Merida, I never dropped or jumped with it too big, but I did a lot of black track trail riding with it. The frame broke several times. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHa0hH5opbt4hKc Or, do you mean TSDZ2? It is too sensitive to impacts on its pedals. The torque sensor is easily damaged if the pedal gets caught on roots, stumps, or other objects. But there is a much more robust mid drive motor, the Toseven DM02. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2KbnGClh76jlZY I've been using it for 800 km, and apart from the fact that you have to set a lot of things in the service menu before first use to make it work normally, I'm quite satisfied with it.

The front derailleur left? What is the reason?
@mcelec7603
@mcelec7603 Жыл бұрын
The front derailleur is set to a fixed position because it might help to keep the chain from falling off the front chain ring on the wrong road. I've dismounted it on my own bike, but the chain on the front chain ring sometimes goes off.

Hello, I was thinking of getting a tsdz2 36v 350w for commuting and would like to know what is your comfortable cruising speed on highest assist? And what chainring are you using?

Hello, I have a bike almost identical to this red Merida with 26" wheels, off-road tires and a 11-tooth smallest rear sprocket. The comfortable cruising speed is about 35-37 km/h with the 42-tooth chainring when the wind is not blowing against me. I have tried the 52-tooth chainring. Without headwinds, it can be maintained at speeds of up to 42-45 km/h, but as I mostly ride on cycle paths, in crowded places and off-road, that was too much for me, so after two months I reverted to 42 sprockets, because they give more torque due to the many stops at the start.

@@mcelec7603 Thank you for your response! I already have a 27.5" mtb with 250w rear hub motor and get 37 km/h top speed on flats. So if the tsdz2 350w will get up to the same speeds comfortably, then I will buy it and fit on to another mtb I have laying around. Another question, Do I need the same vlcd5 display you have to get to 35-37 km/h? Or will the smaller vlcd6 do the job? I heard you can change the amps on the vlcd5, but not on the vlcd6.

@@topherlou3250 I don't know the vlcd6 display, on vlcd5 the amount of assistance is configurable. On my own bike, the XH-18 display also does not allow you to adjust the strength of the boost except the 4 predefined levels.

@@topherlou3250 You should flash the controller with the custom firmware - then you can select and configure most adjustable things - a better display helps but it is not needed. I own xh-13 and vlcd5 displays

@@mcelec7603 flash your controller with the custom firmware then you can adjust the strength of each boost level (boost 4 isn't even 100% with the stock firmware)

Can you use a 52v battery on these 48v motors ?
@mcelec7603
@mcelec7603 Жыл бұрын
Since I haven't tried it, I can't give you an exact answer. Supposedly, it can be used, according to some descriptions, the switching transistors of the controller are at least 60V. Of course, without fw modification, the battery level indicator will be inaccurate. If you want to offend someone, this one or bafang bbshd? Greetings

Both have advantages. The TSDZ2 has torque sensor, thus the riding experience is very natural. An ideal training partner, the harder you press the pedal, the more assistance it gives. Because of the torque sensor, it is more complicated and more prone to failure. If it's important for you the natural riding experience, the smooth operation, choose it. The BBSHD is a very reliable motor with low maintenance requirement, but a bit too strong for a bike in my opinion. If raw power is important to you, if you want to climb steep hillsides, you can choose the BBSHD, but this performance will require a strong frame and a high-capacity battery. (The more powerful the motor the larger the capacity of the battery is needed so that the battery can withstand the higher current consumption.) I haven't tried the BBSHD yet, but I had a PAS sensor bike , that's why I say torque sensor drive is better. So it is not so easy to decide which choice is best for you.
