For even easier swap, I bought Parkside 12V 2AH battery for like $10, it has protection already in the pack and you can drop it right in ;) (of course you just need to pull it from the outer shell).

That is a great suggestion. I did that with a 12v lead acid torch conversion a few weeks back. It will be on youtube one day😬

Nice conversion. When you compare the old 12v drill to the new ones, the new ones are a lot smaller, just shows how time and technology moves on.

The newer machines use planetary gears which shortens them alot. Thanks for commenting.

Good work. My only concern is that not all motors will accept 12,6v when designed for 9,6v. I would probably add a step-down module. 👍🏻

Thank you for commenting. So far I find that most DC motors are happy to run at higher voltage. The main problem is over-speed with over voltage.

Boom! It works! Thanks man.

How long do these batteries work?. just to know.. ready to make convertion.

The owner uses the drill mostly for small screws and it lasts for weeks on one charge. Much better than original batteries.

Is there enough room to fit 6 cells (2p3s)?
@DaftOldMan2 жыл бұрын
I think you can get 6 cells in the main body of the battery but the lid will not fit. I think you could find a way round this.
