On e does not become jewdh through reform o conservative ad the don't asher to any jewish law thefelces and don't require there "converts" to observe any jewish law either which d a paradox to why judaism stands for andeh judaism I'll about: to observe God com!and!ents to us given a mount sinai over 3000 years go . You still have to have a Brit, go before three observant rabbis to be examined, a Bet Din, and go to a mikveh at the conclusion. If you're going to convert then it's best to do so under an Orthodox or Chassidic rabbi so there will be no doubts about whether your conversion is legal or not. If you're not going to be observant then why would you choose to convert? You can become a Noahide instead.

You are correct. All of my students do go in front of a Beit Din, and Mikvah Immersion.

@stinkeye460 That is the most ignorant and callous comment I've seen in a while. If they've been approved by a beit din and three rabbi's, etc., then clearly they've been prepared properly. There is no such thing as a perfect Jew, we are ALL in training, all being molded by HaShem. Is going to shul regularly and going through it the old fashioned way the ideal? Yes. But not everyone has that privilege. Do you really believe that HaShem would not recognize and overflow with love for those trying so hard to reach for him? And you are trying to swat them away like gnats.

If the rabbis preforming the conversion aren't observant or conducting the conversion according to halacha, the conversion should not be considered legitimate. Are there half measures concerning Kashruth? Aren't the laws determining who is or who isn't a JEW clear? Rabbis who water down the laws are not doing the convert a favor. @@MayimHastings
