Convert your vintage car to LED lights (dash, tail, marker, etc)

Hello everyone and welcome to the channel, since I had the car torn apart for repairs and it was easy to get to everything. I figured I'd share with you how easy it is to switch to LED bulbs to take the load of the electrical wiring and alternator.

Old video, but hopefully you'll see this question.. I have a 72 Demon that I just tried converting to LED's... Had several issues, which after watching your vid, one can be fixed with the electric flasher plugs.. however, another issue was a constant flickering with the bulbs. I tried a few different sets of LED's with the same issue. Another problem was none of them dimmed. Any thoughts or ideas..?

Mine don’t dim either, I’m assuming your talking dash lights. One thing I notice is they don’t fit in the socket very good and the little tangs aren’t the best. I’ve taken a small piece of tape before on the bulb so it fits tighter in the socket. Not necessarily wrapping the socket just enough to take up space. Use electrical tape. Maybe not the best advice.

About the same as B-body Mopars. Flashers are just to the left/right side of steering column / back side tucked in.

Great Video! I used the same LED Flashers on my 67 Camaro and I replaced the LED 1157 brake lights. The stop lights and blinker functions work, but the running (parking) lights and hazard lights wont work. I tried resistors, and that did t work. Any ideas on troubleshooting?

You should have a second flasher you need to find, I did a quick google search and apparently there is a second one buried up behind the cluster somewhere. You might need to pull the driver seat out for more room and dig around for it.

Do you need the flashers if you're just changing the dash lights or is that for the turn signals?

Mainly for turn signals. Didn’t try it with dash light only.
