Pinoy in Florida. I've been working in Aerospace industry for almost 30 yrs. Of course we use air tools, we also have manual hand tools like the one you have for some spots. For rib nuts we have air tool guns with double trigger. But what you did is a Filipino ingenuity at it's best. Here in America a lot of Filipinos in the industry surprises their co workers for their ability to solve problems

Really good tutorial, I used those rivet nuts when I built a trailer securing the side panels, it would have been useful to have have a tool to insert the nuts but I didn't want to spend $100 for complete tool for several size nuts when I would only use one size. Thanks for sharing.

Good idea, the only thing I would add would be solid rods welded to the handles for more leverage, too hard with such short levers, old age and arthritis or joint pain, not me but one of my fabricator buddies would do this for his projects.

Very useful tool I'm planneding too install a ladder rack on a Tacoma it uses bolts and nuts. I'm no sure if the nuts will fit on these size rivet nuts? Gotta measure the bolts. But thanks for the idea.👍

Most of the rivet tools I have and seen would simply not take the pressure required (and neither would my hands!) to set a rivnut as they have cast alloy handles. My rivnut tool consists of two small pieces of 2"x1"x 1/2" stock that have a central hole and two fine thread bolts either side to push the pieces apart and thus pull up the rivnut. This is the pattern used by Land Rover and is very effective and much less tiring to use. I also have a Kobe rivnut tool for the smaller sizes that uses a cordless impact driver.

Or to be really simple, a piece of threaded rod a nut and a washer. Insert the threaded rod into the rivet nut insert the rivet nut into the hole place a washer and hex nut on the threaded rod Turn the hex nut while holding the threaded rod with a vice grip Very little effort involved

Thanks for watching sir. Taga bulacan po ako. Yung 4x2 and 4x4 ng navara ay the same engine lang, retuned lang ang 4x4 kaya mas mataas horse power ang torque. But for the new face lifted navara iba na po ang engine 2.3 liter twin turbo mas mataas hp ang torque as conpared sa engine ng previous navara.

Usually po available naman ang mga rivet nuts and rivet nut tools sa mga malalaking hardware kahit po sa lazada or shoppee marami din nito. And yes po pag bumili kayo ng rivet nut tool may kasamang attachements na ito for different sizes ng rivet nuts. Thank you po God Bless!
