Converting Rockshox Super Deluxe Ultimate into Flight Attendant

I'm thrilled to share my journey in the world of mountain biking, which has been defined by a relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence. With over 30 years of experience in the biking industry, I've always sought to integrate cutting-edge technologies to elevate the riding experience.
It all began in late 2021 with the release of the RockShox Flight Attendant, an electronic suspension system designed to revolutionize gravity bikes. I immediately recognized its potential to transform mountain biking and set out on an ambitious mission to equip my Santa Cruz Hightower V3 with this state-of-the-art system.
Initially, the Flight Attendant system was available only on a limited set of premium bikes. However, I was undeterred. I meticulously sourced compatible components, including a Flight Attendant Lyrik fork, and embarked on the painstaking process of merging parts from different shocks to create a custom setup. This journey involved countless hours of research, precision engineering, and hands-on mechanical work, but my passion and dedication kept me going.
By early 2024, the RockShox Flight Attendant 2.0 had been released, incorporating a powermeter and AI-driven adjustments that significantly enhanced its performance. Despite the challenges and high costs associated with this advanced system, I successfully integrated it into my Santa Cruz Hightower V3. This achievement not only highlights my technical prowess but also my visionary approach to mountain biking.
My custom-built bike, featuring the Flight Attendant system, stands as a testament to what is possible when passion and innovation intersect. This work has paved the way for future advancements in the sport, with the potential for even more sophisticated versions of the system on the horizon.
