Convicted killer appears to wave off judge's pre-sentencing comments

During the full video of the sentencing of convicted murder Ronnie Oneal, the judge asked the courtroom to refrain from any emotional outbursts. Immediately after her statement, Oneal turned toward onlookers and appeared to wave off the judge's comments. He was then sentenced to life in prison without parole by a unanimous jury.

I remember a friend of mine had interviewed someone who killed a family and acted very similar to this guy. When he asked why he smiles in court or when discussing the people he killed he said something to the effect of "Remembering the day I took their lives brings me great joy. I relive that delight in my head every time I think of it so I can't help but smile." Other people thought his smile was insulting, rude, fake and a host of other things. But the reality is, the guy enjoyed having done what he did and holds onto that memory happily like most of us remember a fond incident of our childhoods and recalling a nostalgic candy or event with friends. It is messed up stuff.

I disagree. He certainly knows what he is doing. I believe he had full self control when he chose to kill his wife/girlfriend and daughter and stab his son. I don't think it ever was an act. He's mentally unstable and the jury had enough integrity to not allow emotions to cloud their duty of convicting him beyond a reasonable doubt. I'm more shocked cause most juries will be controlled by their emotions but this jury honestly considered that he is unstable, yet not faultless.
