Double-murder defendant's closing arguments: 'I did kill Kenyatta'

Ronnie Oneal, acting as his own attorney, spent much of his closing arguments shouting at prosecutors and the jury, much as he did during opening statements.
Jurors are now tasked with determining the fate of Oneal, accused of murdering his girlfriend Kenyatta Barron and 9-year-old daughter - and attempting to kill his 8-year-old son.
Much like his opening statements one week ago, Oneal yelled as he spoke to jurors, saying his son's statements were inconsistent and he believes his son was likely coached by the Hillsborough County detective who later adopted him.
"I did kill Kenyatta Barron, but I want you to tell it like it is if you’re going to tell it," he said.

The sad part is this is what Democrat inner cities have created......people who think they're the epitome of intelligence, when they're actually the least intelligent person in any room they enter. He actually thought he was putting on a masterful defense. He actually thought there was a chance he could confuse the jury enough to somehow get a not guilty verdict. I hate to say it but isn't this a little bit ridiculous. Personally, it's been obvious from the start (911 recordings) that this dude isn't mentally fit to be taken to trial nevermind being able to represent himself. Edit: "The insanity defense, also known as the mental disorder defense, is an affirmative defense by excuse in a criminal case, arguing that the defendant is not responsible for their actions due to an episodic or persistent psychiatric disease at the time of the criminal act. This is contrasted with an excuse of provocation, in which the defendant is responsible, but the responsibility is lessened due to a temporary mental state.[1]:613 It is also contrasted with a finding that a defendant cannot stand trial in a criminal case because a mental disease prevents them from effectively assisting counsel, from a civil finding in trusts and estates where a will is nullified because it was made when a mental disorder prevented a testator from recognizing the natural objects of their bounty, and from involuntary civil commitment to a mental institution, when anyone is found to be gravely disabled or to be a danger to themselves or to others.[1]:613"

Its only awkward if its not warranted. This man doesnt deserve the anger. Its not righteous anger. Its not justice that causes his fists to clench and his voice to reign out like that. Hes a phony and a fake. Hes acting very poorly. So its very awkward. What is actually moving is when someone knows the truth, speaks the truth, and demands that real justice be brought down to protect the innocent and condemn the guilty. This is just a sad little man pretending he's big, unaware that when he gets sentenced, he will be beaten to a pulp, hopefully every day for the rest of his miserable life.

He was trying to prove that she killed their daughter and stabbed their son, and that the prosecution tampered with the evidence (including teaching his son what to say). There was none of his DNA on the knife nor the axe used on his children. If I was on the jury, there's too much doubt to convict him of 1st degree murder. If you have a law in place, then you must judge according to the law. The media put just a small piece of the segment in the video. I watched it live, and after hearing the arguments from start to finish, I had to change my opinion from what was gained by seeing the first video on the issue. My opinion began to change after hearing his son testify. God knows what truly happened and shall judge accordingly. Jesus Christ loves you all. Repent and believe the Gospel. One of the reasons I write books on marriage and relationships (see the description under my most recent video on my page) is to help people not end up in bad situations. Don't ignore the blessed messages that God sent me to speak to the world. God loves you all. Serve Him! Amen.

Probably silence cos it will be a life sentence. I've seen this before on the docs, 10-20 years into his sentence he'll finally admit that he did it. That it was murder. This is America, this is not Norway where life sentences were banned or Australia where you'll get 10 years or Colombia where you'll get 20 years for 250 murders. He'll get life without parole.

He's making a case as to why aggravators should not be used in sentencing. If he can prove that he only hit her three times, it would probably lessen his sentence to 20-25 years and not life. I think that's what he was aiming for.

He kinda struck me as the murder trial attorney type. (Not a joke. Really my perception of this sick man’s atrocious offensive …. Display? I’d have been extremely upset had I were present. The detective who acted to adopt Ronnie’s son is far beyond an admirable man. His doing that stands as an illuminating beam of light in the heartbreaking darkness of tragedy. For that he is among the few in our world from which the rest of us could learn. My heart shatters at every line written about this world in which so many strangers (to me) are unjustly robbed of THE human right. Life itself…. Kenyatta and Ron’Niveya deserved to live their lives. Their impacts on the world must not be based in our fears or hate or hearts craving more violence in vengeance. Be kind and maybe if we all spread good feelings it will prevent a few killings… Life is precious and beyond value. All life…I’ll add that I truly hope Ronnie finds help, and a soul within himself. Do not take a loved one for granted. One day we all die, the time to embrace yours is now.❤️ Stop the violence now! The cycle of violence CAN end and it must! Live with compassion and apply attention to each life. I wish you all the best..
