conway often tugs at my heart strings. no other griselda rapper can make me choke up like he does. one of his greatest strengths is how sensitive he can be.

I’m telling you bro! That man got a gift. It was a bunch of moments on this album that felt like my first time hearing The Cow. Any rapper that can make you feel something at all is talented, but the fact that he can do it in a variety of ways makes him special

It’s sooo weird how we’re so accustomed to a certain sound from Griselda that the first listen is usually an average response but by the forth listen is a borderline classic lol
@BSideRapReviews2 жыл бұрын
Lol big facts - that’s how I felt bout Burden of Proof and Plugs 2. Ain’t gon lie - this album crazy to me even on first listen but I’ve seen plenty people say they weren’t feeling it. Im a relatively new Conway fan - started listening to Griselda in ‘18 - so I might be more okay with him doing different sounds than everyone who been rocking with him since like Reject 2. I’m curious to see what the general consensus is in a few months when we all had time to sit with it for a while.
@christophers71602 жыл бұрын
You can tell this album has a bunch of older songs but Conway has given us so many classic verses/songs over such a short period of time it’s all gravy at this point. I just hope this album opens the doors to new listeners so they can experience why many including myself already think his spot is solidified

Shady Records got seriously lucky with the Griselda deal! Griselda did not need them at all, but they got by far the best album in their entire catalog.
@BSideRapReviews Жыл бұрын
Honestly the biggest benefit of them signing to shady was the fact that they could put it in their bars lol. That and seems like the broke the shady curse (of trash debuts) might be broken. I don’t really understand why artists sign major labels after they’re already established - prob just outsourcing the more administrative aspects but seem like the juice don’t be worth the squeeze a lot of times. That says it does seem like the artist ran labels are aren’t as bad as the interscopes, atlantics, etc.

@@BSideRapReviews just following up after watching, had to stop watching at work for a bit. I said it once and I'll say it again, very underrated reactor fasho. Nobody is touching you when it comes to talking technicals. Keep doing your thing bruh! A lot of his fan base seem to be split on the album. Got most saying "I wish Conway stayed with that grimmey shit" or "I hate when he's in his feelings I just want that hard Conway" which is weird to me cus 90% of his fan base aint about that life 😂. I think its very good , he is the most transparent and relatable in the group. And that Plum impersonation had me weak as hell 🤣🤣🤣.

DAWG I appreciate that’s so much bro!! Much love ✊🏾 Lmao they done watched a couple seasons of Snowfall now the getting carried away 😂. For real though - I kinda see their point of view but I kinda don’t. Like I LOVE coke raps and street talk but that’s mainly because a lot of the best rappers right now are in that lane. In like the late 2000s and early 2010s my i loved conscious rap cus those were the best rappers at the time. I think everybody can have their preference but my thing is is it good? Like if the rapping is good you can rap about landscaping and agriculture for all I care 😂. Plus, I feel like this album is really balanced, there’s still a lot of grimey coke talk on here. But I think your observation spot on - I think most people acknowledge the rapping is good on here but they just didn’t rock with the vibe of it. Lmaooo they need let me do the poetry from now on 😂😂😂

Beanie Seagal got shot in 2014 and had to have lung surgery, hence why his voice sounds like that. They didn't polish it up or make it sound different in the mix to tie in with the theme of the album God Don't Make Mistakes
@BSideRapReviews Жыл бұрын
Yeah that makes sense. I still think they coulda easily cleaned up the mastering without noticeably altering his voice. I heard a couple other verses from him after he got shot and he sounds the same, but you can actually hear him...which make me think that I think these mfers just got lazy with the mastering 😂 I like how his inclusion ties in though

Doooope! Im hoping you get hooked to him and Griselda’s music like I did haha. Yeah bro I think they’ll be a household name. Already, a good bit of my friends who only listen to mainstream know who he is. Yep I def see that comparison, not so much with his voice or flow but def with his lyricism and content. Truuuuuue I didn’t even know until after I recorded. I still think they didn’t mix his voice right though. I just went back and listened to some of his verses after that shooting and he voice sound like he does on Lock Load, but they just mix it higher. Ion even think his voice sounds bad, they just have the beat drowning it out on this one.
