Glad to see that people are realizing just how formidable of an artist Conway is. People often think Benny when they think Griselda, but Conway's verses hit different. He's able to viscerally display grimy gutter shit, but also a real tortured, vulnerable anguish. He hits on emotions that not many others in this lane can touch. He's my favorite of the three by far.

Keisha makes me think of Peaches from Outkast, too... good call, Ken. Griselda never disappoints, it's unbelievable. And Con is a stellar artist. When I heard Bootleg Kevin ask Conway, "What did a song need to make this project?" and he responded with "That pain...", I knew this was gonna be special. He has done really vulnerable songs before (of course "The Cow" stands out), but never an album filled with tracks like that. He's an inspiration to fans, with his persistence thru all that trauma.

Conway was able to do what a lot of street rappers struggle with in my opinion and that’s give you the grimey cuts of course but be able to pull off some commercial cuts for a major label release as well and he nailed it here. My favorites were Lock Load, Stressed, Guilty, Piano Love, John Woo Flick and God Don’t Make Mistakes.

Conway, really is the modern day BIG. I think he's gonna go down as one of the greats. He speaks out on shit that 90% don't. And the way he does it is genius! I would have changed a few things about this album. I would have left Drumwork track off. Put The Cow verse as the intro instead and swapped out some features for other Emcee's. But it is a solid, solid album and A.O.T.Y so far. He's not retiring yet guys. He's got Lulu 2 with Al. Another Big Ghost project. I've been listening to hip hop since.....watching park jams out the project window in the south Bronx back in the 70's...I was all ino that 90s underground...Recording Stretch and Bobbito every Thursday night....I've listened to them all.....This isnt hyperbole....Machine is the best rapper I've ever heard. The way he lays down that "fly goon" sh*t...The way he hits...His delivery...The whole 9 yards. The quality of his catalogue...The way he crafts his songs....This dude is next level.. He had a line in that LA Leakers freestyle from the other day...."Pointers on my b*tch neck, pink spade how she quench thirst....." In hip hop history find me two lines that describe a "bad ass chic" like that. He just hits different. The way he lays it down is unmatched. Benny is dope..I rock with the Butcher.....bit he cant touch Conway. He might sell more...have more commercial appeal, whatever the case may be....but he cant touch Conway....Machine is on a COMPLETELY different level of mc.

Lets argue.. The reason I didn't prefer this album is because From King to a God is better, it had a little tooo much introspection for me but I get that's the theme, and most importantly, I think most of the music was 2 years old.. How do I know? I saw an interview of his where he said 2 of the songs from the Griselda album were from this album (whenever that was I'm just estimating it was 2 years ago). City on the map and Bang were supposedly from this album. That suggests the album is at least as old as the Griselda album. You can also tell by some of the adlibs he used back then being on this album. You can just tell the music is old. He's better than he was then, now and that's my gripe with it.
