Nice video again Paul. I usually do mine in a microwave. Then throw the microwave away because of the strong smell of kippers. You've saved me a fortune. 😁

Good evening Paul! Thank you for this informational and instructional video...these are very much appreciated. Great method. I must try. Less smell is always best, so well done. Only thing missing from that plate is the fried or scrambled eggs, toast with butter, grilled tomato and mushrooms, potato scone. Optional is fully loaded Scottish porridge!

Hi Paul, That's a great and easy way to cook them. I love kippers and don't mind the smell especially when they are cooking. Like you say though, they can smell the house out for a day or two...😁👍🏼👍🏼

I don't mind the smell either, but easy way to do them, thanks Eddie :-)

Must try that Paul. I usually cook them in the shed or outdoors on a George Foreman grill but a bit cold this weather and you still have to clean the grill so this looks a winner. Well done. Regards Keith

I get tinned kippers. I love kipper sandwiches with bbq sauce! The tinned ones I get are boneless but still have the skin on. That's the main reason I add bbq sauce to cover over the taste of the skin.

Have used that method in the past or just poach them same way but in a large frying pan. Much prefer this method than frying or grilling as the kippers are soft and moist. Nice video.

Paul😋😋 Brilliant. I can't find kippers here except for the very small smoked canned ones. Looks like delicious fish though. Maybe other fish would benefit from cooking this way. Thanks Paul. Enjoy!

Thanks Terry, yes I am sure it would work for other fish, all the best :-)

Our cat goes into a euphoric state when we cook fish indoors, but mostly we use an electric fryer outdoors. I will give your method a try, a great tip!

Even if I bake salmon in an oven, when It's done, i boil some water on top of the stove & add cinnamon and nutmeg and cloves & and a bit of orange juice or orange peel, just to make the kitchen smell nice!!!

Where are you from? I’ve seen a bunch of Kipper KZbin videos in the last hour and heard so many different accents. It’s really fascinating cuz so many of the people in their videos sound like they’re from the British Isles but I have no idea where each is from

Probably retains all the omega fish oil as well. I boiled some chicken Brest yesterday so much better than fried or roasted. I’ll try that with the kipper.

Love kippers but hate the damned bones. Will try this method. Oh, you didn't give the fish enough water to swim in plus he couldn't see where he was going.

Kippers are not fresh fish. It is a very old method of preservation. They have a stronger smell than fresh sardines.
@007vauxhall4 жыл бұрын
Thank you, as others say, kippers are smoked which preserves the fish, so the scent is released when cooking, not unpleasant smell though.
