I made these with my mom yesterday and they turned out great! We did have to leave them in a little longer than 15min though, which I am assuming was due to my ingredients being colder?

I’m so happy you tried them! It could be the ingredients or the oven. Often times it’s the oven, some are convection and sometimes people have conduction ovens. I hope that helps!

I don’t know where I’m California you’re from but if you ever find yourself in Ventura, CA a cute little beach town in SOCAL, go to Tatiana’s Coffee & Tea, they have the most bomb Cuban Guava and cheese pastelitos. WAY better than Porto’s

Mmm great question! I haven’t tried freezing after backing them but I have froze them pre baking & I just let it thaw out for about 5 min before baking & it was just as delicious!

What is the point of making everyone watch this and you dont break one open to show the inside? We want to see the texture and amount of filling! I hate when people spend so much time and make us watch tedious footage of them cutting dough or whatever the activity is and don't spend any time picking up and showing off the finished product.
