Cook With Me - Old-Fashioned FRIED Potatoes & Onions

This is a old-fashioned recipe that I remember as a child; mom would make this delicious dish at least once a week for dinner with salmon croquettes patties and homemade biscuits.

1 large onion
1 Tbsp. McCormick Onion Powder
1 Tbsp. McCormick Black Pepper

Just a thought for everyone....while yours are good, you are cooking for over an hour. Try using a much larger skillet...get your oil and butter hot. I use about a third of a stick. Pat potatoes dry then put them in pan. Don’t touch them...they are fine. And seasonings cook first side 7 minutes. Now flip potatoes and add onions, check for taste leave them to cook 7 minutes on second side you are all done in half the time. By leaving potatoes sit they develop crisp edges that everyone at your table will want. Keys...large skillet...plenty of butter and oil...don’t move potatoes around once you put them into skillet...time per side is 7 minutes...taste before serving. Going to make some now.

Boil your potato in the skin about 40-45 mins before frying them. They cook easier and they taste great…

This is my first time watching you. When my father was alive, he used to make fried potatoes and onions just like that. I don't eat any bread or sweets and use a sugar substitute in my morning coffee. I've gone from 335 lbs. to 298 lbs. over the last14 weeks. My goal is to lose enough weight that I can walk about without the use of a cane.

It don't take no hour just make no smothered potatoes no 30 minutes and 30 minutes that's too long I can cook mine in half of that time You must have had your fire on one or two
