I love the ears ❤! Great idea! The lentil soup sounds delicious, but my son (16) won’t eat it 😢. The good thing is that if I make dinner he does not like he makes his own Dinner instead 😅. So the recipe is bookmarked! Have a nice day, Bayley, and greetings from Sweden.

If your kids and hubby are happy to eat things often, those recipes are probably winners! Please share more?

Lentil soup is one of my comfort foods! I also always use the bones for broth after making a roast chicken. I put the bones in the slow cooker overnight. The broth is ready in the morning. I often freeze some in jars. It’s great to always have broth on hand.

That looks like a great recipe, the "ears" sound good too! Haha. I have some lentils and have no idea how to prepare them. Now I know. Sorta ha. I always want to try making more things with easy pastry dough too. 👍

Looks delicious! I love the idea of having a tight rotation of dinners. I've been trying to do the same thing, but there are so few things that all my family can/will eat! Can't wait to see what else you cook for dinner x

My boys also love "ears" with a bolognaisse filling, spinach and cheese. We eat it as a main meal with salad. Love your videos Bayley!

Thanks for sharing the recipe. I just made chicken broth in the instant pot. I think I’ll try this tomorrow for supper 🙂

Looks yummy. We call those pastry’s pinwheels. Quick question, do you use the chicken from the bones on the soup or just the liquid? X

The stock that was poured into the sink , was it poured into a colander/strainer ..do u transfer just the stock to the vegetables n throw away the carcus? then blend. I will try this recipe I made gammon n leek vegetable soup last week but my stock is trial & error x

The ears looked delicious. I think tomato puree must be different in NZ to the UK. We usually get it in tubes and add about a tablespoon to a recipe. I imagine what you use is more like passata or chopped tomatoes? X
@littlebungalowinthewoods85811 ай бұрын
Here in Canada- the tube you’re describing is called tomato paste and is a thick texture like you’re describing (you can also get it in a small can). Tomato puree is just tomato blended up, so it’s a fairly thin texture. Like canned tomatoes that have gone through the blender.

Hi Bayley I meant to ask on my earlier comments...the recipe says chopped tinned tomatoes but I saw you used tomato puree...I've got both in my pantry...so they're interchangeable?? Thank you 😊

This is very similar to one I make…it’s two of everything though…2 potatoes 2 onions 2 zucchini 2 carrots, 1 litre veg stock, 1 cup red lentils..I often add some red sweet potato,red capsicum and some broccoli last thing……the original recipe had small pasta in it as well although its origins are lost to me now….oh some curry powder too…
