I have a feeling that Marbs' idea of a balanced tactical layer consists of the enemies he has going on at the moment and a whole squad of forever-squaddies (meaning XCOM troops will be squaddies forever and not be able to promote).

Funny thing is, I still had some comments saying it's too easy. But no, there are plenty of things I did to help XCOM too. There are a few key principles I follow when trying to balance the modlist, and I do think too easy can be just as bad as too hard / unfairly hard.

I know what you mean, I'm mostly fine with it existing though. (but I did reduce the graze band from the default 10 down to 5 before the start of this campaign)
