The seasonings were kind of right, but I'd recommend adding a half cup of beef broth, a small can of tomato sauce and coriander and let it simmer for a while. That's how you get the consistency and flavor you're after.

Quick tip on the refried beans, per small can add 1tbsp fat (butter, lard, ghee, tallow, vegetable oil) a slice of American cheese (it has an emulsifier in it that helps make the beans creamy) and a dash of cream (half and half or cream) and that should keep your beans from clumping up. Try it out. It may be your new favorite way to make beans.

I miss the Pico de gillo. My favorite TB item was rhe Meximelt. When they got rid of it, it wasn't a big deal. Cuz i could order a cheesy rollup add beef add pico and still have a meximelt. For a lot less than what they use to charge for the meximelt. But now the jerks have gotten rid of Pico so can't even get a meximelt! Grrrr
