Oh, thank you, Myra. I am enjoying it, too. I truly am a novice at bread making. I read and studied for days before starting, then just dove in. I hope my videos encourage others to try.

Ms Debbie, you need a couple plastic shower caps to use over your bread pans instead of plastic wrap. Thanks for all the great videos. You remind me so much of my grandma.

What a great idea! I have shower caps, just didn't think to use them for this. Thanks.

Hi Debbie, I've looked thru all your recipes here, I didn't see a recipe for just basic cornbread. Did I miss it? Would love to see your version.

Do you oil the black iron too? What's the benefit to using black iron to glass, ceramic, or medal? Thanks
@DebbiesBackPorch8 жыл бұрын
The bread pans came fully seasoned. I just washed, dried and rubbed with a light coat of oil Before baking, oiled inside liberally. The benefit, as with all cast iron, is that it will never have to be replaced, but also the color of the bread is more uniform. In baking generally, a dark pan gives you a deeper color, so even if you use a glass or ceramic pan, the inside should be dark if you want a golden color. That said, any pan will do. Use what you have.

Better than all those toxic ingredients in store bought!
