Happy Birthday to your daughter! It's wonderful that she has already made friends. Great job on the food prep for her special day. You are taking to this homesteading life so easily. I too have an overflow larder for food, source as much as possible locally, and we still consider ourselves custodians of the land, so far into this magical journey. Can't wait for you to share your sour dough process in the future. 🙂

Ah thank you Marion! Where did I learn to bake? {casting my mind waaaay back...} It was largely from a family friend who is an excellent baker and I spent a lot of time with her in the kitchen but also my mum just let me have free rein and experiment and learn in the kitchen growing up. I've always just had an intrigue in baking and cooking and like having a go!
