don't paint or reupholstering, the caravan is fine as is, don't waste the money on it, put your money into the cottage;

We've had lots of people say don't bother with the caravan! It is well looked after, you're right

It’s not easy painting furniture, I do it as a living. You have to make sure all your prep is right, or it will chip and peel. Also when reupholstering abide by fire regs as it’s a caravan. This will take time and money, all while you’re living in there too. You have to do it right if you are doing it at all, or you will be left with a worthless tin box. As commented, I’d just live with it and re sell later, put your time, energy and money into the cottage instead.

Completely understand getting a caravan. Good investment for your life style right now and checks many boxes. It may not be your decor style but it's in good shape. I agree with other comments, put the funds, time and energy into the cottage, not into the caravan.

Hi Cori, the caravan should make life a little bit easier for you. Don't forget to get a smoke alarm & fire extinguisher. Safety number 1 priority, more important than redecorating

Sick an awning on it, some clean gravel in front of it and spend the rest of the money/time on the cottage. Also, if you decide to sell it, painting it will probably devalue it.

Hi new to your channel as a Caravaner of old could I suggest you get/put up an awning. It will give you extra space and a dumping ground for all wet/ muddy clothes and shoes and shade in the nicer weather ( I spent far to much time sweeping out the caravan ). Can’t wait to see the progress you make best of luck and don’t forget to have fun😊

Wow, I bet you feel better. I like the countertops, since its just temporary. I agree with painting cabinets and getting rid of curtains. The red and cream are okay but the curtains on top just was too much!! Just the cushions seems okay. Your right about the windows...the views are excellent... Enjoy🌷💐🌸🏵💮🌹🌺🌻🌼

That's a hard question to answer! Property is less expensive than the part of the UK we were from. Day to day living expenses seem a little more than the UK and a lot more than the places in Europe we were travelling in last year! It's all relative though and so dependent on lifestyle, choices etc right?

Just saying , why put your efforts and money into fixing the caravan up if it is going to be temp. living space ? Its your life, You do what make you happy. I on the other hand would put my energy into the building. Just my thoughts.

Totally understand the question! But it will be a fair few months until we are able to get into the house and I'm just keen to make those months all the more pleasant if possible. Plus we can't actually start the work on the house just yet so may as well sort out the caravan!

Honestly dont waste effort doing anything to the caravan.. You can re sell it on afterwards. If you change the original features you will lose money in future.

Why waste time and money doing up the caravan . The curtains will keep the cold out . Use your time and money on the cottage. You must have lots and lots of money! Ps I’m not your love !!
