Hi, I just wanted to give you updated nutritional information (I have a master's degree in nutrition) - it is only "urban legend" that olive oil is dangerous to cook with - not sure where that rumour started, but it's absolutely not true and, in fact, olive oil is the SAFEST oil to cook with at higher temperatures (although no oil should be heated too high). So feel free to use that olive oil to cook with any time!

An Englishman cooking an italian dish.... in France lol by the way you need more then 180 degrees Celsius to burn olive oil E, V. and get past the smoke point , you will achieve this only if you heat it alone or when there is no more humidity left in the dish you are cooking. It is safe to use olive oil knowing this, that s the reason why millions of people use it without any problems since thouseands of years 😉 .

Look for Mahogany cooking utensils. As used in the best piano hammer shanks, Mahogany is light weight, extremely strong and durable for cooking. I've had had a mahogany Flat spoon/"shovel" for 30 years and it's as good as the day I bought it. As usual your cottage, and the lovely Anna and Sadie, shines out a beacon of warmth and hospitality. Lah.
