We watched this video a few years back. And "you smart" has beeen something my husband and I used occasionally when cooking/making decisions. And I am convinced this is the best short phrase we got from a cooking channel, because it implores us to trust ourselves to make the right decision. 🤣

Loved your video, I have been to Vietnam several times, first time in 1986 when I was part of a team that built satellite earth stations in Saigon and Hanoi so the Vietnamese people could make international phone calls. I’m an Australian communications engineer and I felt so privileged to be able to do something to benefit a people who had suffered a horrific and stupid war. Everyone I met was so nice and kind to me. I have been back 3 times as a private person and always been treated the same. I love your country and people as well as the rest of S/E Asia. I have been in Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia many times and loved it every time. Love from Michael in Australia PS, I was born in Scotland and moved to Australia as a child

@MrTriumphantLad8 жыл бұрын
Chelsea Burdick Lmao. Pho traditionally has ZERO soy sauce AND sesame oil. What a generalization of Asian cuisines. Vietnamese COOKing doesn't use soy sauce much (maybe in strict vegetarian dishes), fish sauce is in it's place, AND sesame oil is rare and recently have been adapted sometimes through modern Korean influences and health awareness. Just saying..

Mrs Nguyen, everything about this video, your presentation, your technique, and your explanation is perfection. Absolute perfection. I wish I could have tried that broth. When I order pho bo I always request sliced white onion, cilantro, Thai basil, and lime. The server tells me almost always they are not accustomed to white Americans eating pho like in Vietnam. I remind them that it is popular in Vietnam because it tastes the best. One of these days I will try making pho bo in my pressure cooker. Have you ever tried this? Does a pressure cooker offer good results? Oh, and that knife you use, that is a piece of art. And the fact you keep it so sharp is so cool. I love this video!!!!
@thuongkhang83667 жыл бұрын
Joey M i think the joy/hard work n favor of pho is from simmering it for a long time. i gives the meat n broth n season ing items time to develop n settle in i guess. also uncover the pot preven cloudy broth. a good bowl of pho has clear but flavorful broth. but i can do the pressure cooker too. im very curious how it will turn out. please let me know if you try it. thank you
