How to Make the PERFECT HORCHATA, so refreshing so delicious!

Horchata Recipe: - 1.5 Cups long grain rice rinsed Transfer to large bowl - Break one cinnamon stick - Add in 4 cups boiling water - Let it sit covered overnight or 4 hours - Pour mixture into blender and blend - Add sugar to taste or small amount - Pour mixture from blender through a filter into a pitcher - Add 3 cups milk to mixture - One can evaporated milk - One can sweetened condensed milk - 1TBS of vanilla extract - Mix it well - Add 2 cups water - Taste and adjust. Add ice

Just made this recipe and it turned out fantastic! I made it once sticking to the original recipe, and it came out amazing. My whole family loved it! The second time around I made it with almonds added to the cinnamon rice mixture and it came out fantastic, tasted a little softer and less strong on the cinnamon. Thank you so much! If you’re like me and have a pretty shitty blender and end up with left over ground up rice…make rice pudding. I had left over sweetened condensed milk too so I added some water to the ground rice, cooked it like I would regular rice but for a shorter amt of time since it cooks quicker, added sweetened condensed milk to the thickened mixture and it was the smoothest rice pudding I’ve ever had.

I made this recipe and OMG is it good. I found that after straining (there was a lot of residue in the strainer) and mixing of the other ingredients on the list, I let it rest for a while and even more sediment fell to the bottom. It still tasted amazing after a couple of days and I will be making this again.
