Oooooooh TYVM for pointing out that I’ve been doing ALL OF THIS correctly ever since I was twelve for my family. I’m 67 now and cannot bring myself to microwave when boiling is my favorite.

I like the easier method of cooking it in the microwave. Slicing into the stalk end, hold it up by the silk end and the cob slips right out. No worries about silk. There are many of videos showing the easier way.

I tried that and didn’t like the texture of the corn. I will try it again. It sure was easy.

I love fresh corn on the cob! It reminds me of all the corn we ate at my grandma's house when we were kids. What happy memories do you have of eating corn on the cob?

Ancaster fair grounds 2018 corn husking champion here. This is the slowest corn husk video I’ve seen all day. “Fast and easy” click bait.

Wrong, looks like dad could teach you a few things....this is backwards and twice as much work, cut the stalk end off, the cob squeezes out clean in 2 seconds. You're welcome.

I will try that!

Sorry but I don't see how this is easy and fast. This is the same old way I've always done it.

If you get good at it I think it is pretty fast.
@carolr4871 Жыл бұрын
@@CookingLessonsforDad I am pretty good at it; I've been cooking for about 50 years. It's not as fast or easy as microwaving it, cutting off the stem end, then squeezing it out from the other end. There are tons of videos on this technique.
@CookingLessonsforDad Жыл бұрын
@@carolr4871 I see you are a very good cook! I will have to try squeezing it out sometime.
