Yeah turning the griddle with the lid to the lake side should stop or slow the wind. Lots of goodies there for breakfast. Very good job considering wind for seasonings scattering onto surface. Keep up great cooking.

I'm experimenting different wind solving issues. The problem with turning the lid to the lake is I have no place to put my camera. We'll get there.

Love this cook Mike! My go to when we go our for breakfast is always a skillet. My very first Blackstone cook was just about the same as this. I diced up fresh taters, the protein was ham. But yea, the onions, green peps (I added some fine chopped jalapeno too). Some grated cheese. At the end, I hollowed out a spot in the middle of the build, dropped the egg in there and basted with a dome. Turned out perfect. Cheers buddy!

Turn your grill 90 degrees for the wind
@cookingwithbigcat Жыл бұрын
I thought about that but not that easy. Not too much room on the deck where I shoot and wouldn't have a place for the camera. I actually just bought a wind screen and am going to try that. I'll figure it out, thanks for the idea though!!

Good Vid Brother. I see you have that 28" 3 burner. Do you like that better than the 22" 2 burner? I'm thinking about upgrading to that one. There's only my wife and I left here. I think the 3 burner should be enough for us. I don't want a 4 burner. I think that would be overkill. 3 burners would be enough to cook for a larger group if needed. What's your take? Thanks. Shawn 😊
@cookingwithbigcat3 ай бұрын
Go for the 3 burner. I upgraded to mine about 3 years ago and I love it. SO much better than the 22" as far as size, and I agree with you about the 4 burner. It would be overkill for me too. Mine is the Blackstone model 1901 and I got it as soon as it came out. I paid around $550 for it but now they are like $1100 if you can find them. They have another model Pro Series 3 Burner 28" XL on Walmart's website for $547 and it's basically the same as mine. Good luck brother!!!
