Good morning, Been eating gravy since...well, since I was weaned😊. We didn't have it everyday but just about. I like it on cornbread...I sometimes make it for breakfast. My kids and husband have to have biscuits and they love milk gravy. It's a comfort food for sure. So yes, lots of soppin' up gravy at my house.😋It's finally raining in Ky.🌧🌧got sprinkled on this morning but sure glad to see it. We have had a few fires...they should be out now, controlled pretty quick. Looks like California is on fire again,prayers for them. Have a sweet and wonderful day!!

Good morning , Miss Brenda ! ❤ When I was young , I remember eating gravy with sliced bread . I would get me about 4 or 5 slices of bread and put gravy on each slice , and stack them up like pancakes ! Delicious ! I love gravy .

I made gravy the day before yesterday and I used Bacon grease. I had cooked bacon and sometimes I put a little brown sugar and black pepper on my bacon. Well naturally that was in my grease. Not thinking about it, I used that grease and WOW I had a sweet gravy. I had half a mind to turn it into chocolate gravy. Those grits that you had in the stove, they need some fresh tomatoes cut up into the grits with cheese and a couple of over easy eggs and salt and pepper!! My kind of grits!! Thank you Ms Brenda for another great video!!!

When I was growing up, we had milk gravy on Sundays with either fried chicken or pork tenderloin. When I make milk gravy, I pour off ALL the grease and leave the brown bits. I use what's clinging to the pan with some flour and let it brown a little before pouring in the milk. Expired milk will often curdle, so be sure to use something fresh. I use water for country style steak gravy. and it's also a great way to cook thin sliced pork tenderloin so it's not tough.

That’s an interesting version of tomato gravy that you talked about. My grandmother who was both in the late 1800s and lived in the Sandhills of North Carolina made tomato gravy with just fresh tomatoes and fatback grease, plus salt and pepper. No flour at all. It was SO delicious with biscuits sopped in it.❤️

I'm originally from up north in Pennsylvania southwestern countryside, beautiful hills and twisting roads, lot's of creeks and valleys, rich dark dirt, ferns galore. Well my Mother would cook gravy and sausage or hamburger in the gravy and we would have it over toasted bread. She called it "Shit on shingles," lol 😂 it was good too!!!
