Love orange in sweet potatoes. Thanks for delineating yam from sweet potato. Horticultural business taught me a lot. Gotta try this, and that will be soon. Surely you've had sweet potato pie. To me, it's miles better than pumpkin. My "southern-ness" is showing.

This recipe is official! I'm sitting here like I put juice from a orange in mine. ✅ I put nutmeg, ginger, vanilla extract ,cinnamon and allspice or ground cloves ✅ Definitely one of the best if not the best recipes on the Internet. Only thing I do if add some more butter at the end and let it melt on the yams

I've made a recipe like this for years and they always turned out great. Now I'm living in SE Asia and we don't have sweet potatoes like in the US. The yam/cassava options here are far starchier and I find them hard to make work well in a dish like this. Any tips on working with a starchier tuber in this recipe or do I just need to change my cooking approach?

What is that pan, and where can I get one. Daddy like! I do all of the cooking in my home; ALL OF IT. However, I'm probably the most spoiled man in my entire neighborhood, so when I see a cooking pan or pot I really like on a youtube video, and proclaim it in front of my wife, she has a sneaky way of making it's twin suddenly appear in our kitchen.

I do like that you tried to impart some knowledge but yams are yellow sweet potatoes are white. You did a really good job explaining it and you were right about everything but the color there is an Internet debate about it and I don’t need to hear it, I’ve been cooking for 30 years yams are yellow sweet potatoes are white, so a sweet potato as you know it is a yam it’s not regional it’s nothing like that it’s just simple what it is. I think you got your research off when you got the answer you wanted instead of continuing itbecause the quicker you can get a video out the more content I get it just I’ve watched a bunch of y’all lie to me and it hurts

American's worst tendency - adding sugar to something that is already sweet. Doesn't fit on the Thanksgiving table. I would have gone chipotle with maybe agave, or just roasted sweet potato with savory spicy sauce.
