The building there before Cookout used to be a Roy Rogers I worked at it before they closed in like 2020-2021. Cookout was pretty good but wow was the line long for the first couple weeks. I liked their food tho especially burgers not as good as South Carolina’s, but it’s not bad.

I'm sure Roy's is better

I like having cookout here but miss Roy Roger's roast beef sandwiches. So much better than Arby's.
@DMVAdventures Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I used to always stop at that Roy’s and to be honest, I wish it still was a Roy’s. I mean I like pretty much every fast food hamburger there is, so will definitely go back to cook out again, but it ranks low on the list

@DMV Adventures Agree with you. I like cookout but I'm not sure why people are fanatics about it.

Apperantly before it was a Roy Roger's it was a Hardee's

It’s ok food you get what you pay for so don’t expect it to be amazing

This is one of those spots that I will stop by if I’m driving past it, but I won’t make a separate visit to go to it. I love fast food, so I love all the spots. However, if I was ranking them, this would not be close to the top. I might even drive past it and go to checkers in Manassas instead.

I used to work across the street from one in Blacksburg VA. Food is terrible. Bring back the Roy's, great burgers and fried chicken. Only good option at cookout is the shakes, and they aren't great either. 3 out of 10

I commented to someone else that I wish Roys was still there. This is one of the worst fast food spots ever, BUT I still love me a hamburger and would go again. But the Double R burger at Roys is so much better.
@patwilliams7362 Жыл бұрын
@@DMVAdventures Yup, Cookout is terrible. Roy's double cheeseburgers and the double R burger, blow all of their food out of the water. Cookout is cheap junk. We need more Roy's

We were supposed to get a Raising Canes in Manassas where the old Bar Louie used to be. Apparently there was an issue on whether there could be a drive thru there. At this rate I guess it's not happening.
@DMVAdventures Жыл бұрын
@@chrisbooth3417 That is funny because the drive-thru situation in Sterling is a joke. They have to have the cops come out and keep order. Just saw Raising Canes opened up in Chicago and thousands of people were waiting in line for it no drive thru. So I think cities are considering this to be like a Chic-Fil-A situation forever. (But in my opinion as soon as the hype dies down, it won't be anything like Chick-Fil-A)

I drive past this place twice a day every weekday on my way to and from work. I’ve never once been there, and honestly never intended on going. That looks like type II diabetes waiting to happen, especially the cheese curds and milkshake. Thanks for the heads up…

I can’t imagine, waiting in line there, I’d walk right out the door. When I went, it was pretty empty, I think the hype died down, and people realize what it is, which is kind of like a gas station fast food place don’t get me wrong I still enjoy it, and I’ll certainly eat there again when I’m driving past. But a lot of the hype is based on nostalgia, I think. I’ve eaten at these before in Fredericksburg when I was a kid, and as an adult, I’ve been to Fredericksburg 50 times, and I’ve never even thought about stopping.

I was not impressed in this place at all. But anyone else, enjoy!

It is so weird. It is one of the more popular videos on the channel. It is 100% based on nostalgia and scarcity. I guess a lot of people vacationed in the Carolinas from this area. For a fast food place it is rather unimpressive (the bbq is bad), although the amount of choices for sides is a nice touch. But also I LOVE fast food hamburgers, so I'll def be stopping by here many more times. I thought my Raising Canes video would explode and it didn't because nobody here is from THAT far south. Lol.
