#8. I’ll never forget I was at the park with my daughter. I made sure no kids were in line, and I joined her in the swings (I still looove swings.) I was tipping my head back while swinging forward. My daughter started laughing. “Mom, you’re just like a kid.” “Is that a good thing or a bad thing?” “It’s a good thing.” Followed by a hug. 🤗 I actually got _glared at_ by another mom. Eh. She can sit there on the phone if she wants; I’m swingin’. I guess other moms considered that “crazy”. 😁 Later my daughter added “but you ground me sometimes.” lol yes sweetheart, yes I do. I’m mom first, friend second; doesn’t mean I always have to “act like an adult”, whatever that means. It was a good day.

@@riitart6325 Thank you! I had her kinda young, so I don’t know if that makes a difference sometimes, but to me, swinging was a totally normal, fun thing to do with her... even though I don’t exactly fit perfectly anymore lol. I wasn’t an ass and prevent another child from playing lol, in which case I could understand another parent glaring at me. But I was just so shocked I got dirty looks for it! I was just playing! Why do I have to stop playing? I try to keep her from the “too cool to have fun” mindset that seems to be forced on people as they get older, even as kids get older. I’m not going to lie though; I was glad when she added the “grounds her sometimes”. I want her to know she can talk to me and have fun with me but always remember I’m mom first. Side note: This was back when she was younger. A recent thing I’ve joined her on that may seem “crazy” to a few other parents is i help her make and join her in (private lol) TikTok videos. I look ridiculous! 🤣 but that’s ok with me. I love that girl! And even though she’s a pre-teen, we still swing. 😁

They are supposed to go from painless to uncomfortable unless you have some kind of condition that worsens them. BUT them being painful is so normalized that no one cares even if you are bent over yourself and unable to walk - you have no right to painkillers cause you're drug-seeking, you have no right to get checked because it's just normal period pain, you have no right to lament because you are supposed to suffer from them. @@jennyh4025 From within the US I agree..honestly believe we're gonna go commie. The office or whoever that are on top just below/next to president tried to kick trump out legit so fast because he likely wasn't doing things THEY wanted, they wanted him out not for the good of the country but for their own benefits.....Not gonna lie, Trump actually did quite a few good things for the country (of which Biden is stopping). My state (or just district in my state) is already practically going fascism (or at least not "the people, we vote for our leader, blah blah"), our votes don't even matter anymore..A guy who was shit at his job ran again and this other guy seemed AWESOME, then the first guy won again??? People were even confused on why it said they voted twice, HMMM wonder what happened there! Most people don't even vote anymore for the best candidate..just whatever party they support. Like democrats voting for democratic people whether or not they agree with their campaigns. I'm heavily disappointed in how braindead my country has become. If we suddenly became facism I don't think many would bat an eye as long as it's their party who won or whatever.

@@testerwulf3357 thank you for your perspective! At least the voting thing looks a lot like „election fraud by government“, which is not unusual in the USA in my opinion, as I count gerrymandering as election fraud. I don’t know about all things president Biden reversed as of yet, but I for one am glad of most he did, that made it into the European (non-headline) news. The ones I have heard/read about might hurt a little bit in the short term, but help a lot in the longer term (10+ years) if people actually want to change (the hard part most of the time) and improve their life and country.

About the Animals with Misleading Names guide: 1. An electric eel is most certainly an eel as it has all of the characteristics of an eel. 2. The mountain goat is just as much of a goat as an electric eel is an eel. 3. The king cobra has all of the traits that make any cobra a cobra in that it is a hooded viper that lives in southern Asia with all of the other cobras, making it a real cobra. 4. You're actually right about the horny toad not being a toad because the animal you have pictured is a horned lizard that lives in the desert and not an amphibian that lives in wetlands. However, the horned toad is a real toad. Too bad you couldn't find the right picture.
@testerwulf3357
@testerwulf3357 3 жыл бұрын
1. Actually electric eels are not eels, look it up, they're closer related to CATFISH than eels! They look like eels, but that doesn't mean they are eels. By that logic flies that look like wasps are wasps, matis' that look like flowers are flowers, stick bugs are sticks, spiders that look and behave like ants are ants, ect.. 2. Mountain goats aren't exactly goats..more so a close relative. 3. King Cobras aren't cobras because they aren't even in the same genus as cobras! Another mistake on your part that "thing looks like thing so it must be thing". 4. Horned Lizards are also known as Horned toads/Horny Toads...so they are correct that they aren't toads! I'm not seeing any actual toads when looking up "horned toad" or even "horned frog"! So Unfortunately for you..there is no toad called "horned toad" or at least not that I can find.

Very interesting. Though I'm going to caution people on such a simple guide for tattoo pain. This is very subjective, my whole back is a no-go zone for tats due to my chronic back pain I can barely stand firm massage pressure on my back even the "low pain" areas on the chart would be very painful for me. Always keep factors like that in mind when thinking about getting a tattoo. The ginger tea use made me giggle too, ginger has always made me nauseated lol.

These make me kinda realize there might be something wrong with me..like unchecked ADHD (that chart hit hard, but I've suspected I might be on the scale for awhile; my dad has it). I've had suspicion I probably have depression but just don't wanna worry anyone and get help. I don't want pills or anything..It's been just a slow build up since the trauma first happened, got worse over time slowly and now it's really suffocating. I can't manage to do my school my work yet I can manage to play games and hang out and do things with my boyfriend (he's like my cure, he makes me so happy and motivates me like nothing else, he makes me feel like..me..again when he's around). The best I could hope for is therapy, but I'm not sure about it...

If you think you might have depression or ADHD, I would recommend talking to someone about it. I don't think you should worry about worrying others in a situation like this, it sounds serious from what I can tell. If you need to talk, I'm willing to listen, and I'm sure a lot of people you know would be as well.

I understand that you're afraid to seek help. Many people are because of the huge stigma against mental health care. People don't want to admit to having issues because of the social burden that other people are highly judgemental that someone else goes to therapy or takes a medication. They can go die in a fire. I myself have benefited a lot from talk therapy with my therapist, and it's massively changed my life for the better. I only do talk therapy, but it's improved my self esteem and the way I view things. I was a mentally abused child with diagnosed autism and a total Karen of a dominant mother, and my therapist has helped me come to terms with so very much ranging from finally accepting that I am actually autistic and starting to focus on accommodating my issues instead of trying to keep them swept under a rug (and suffering endlessly for it), to finally coming to a deep understanding that my parents screaming at each other almost every night didn't have anything to do with me being a bad child. I seriously have some deep PTSD from it and all the statements on the 'mentally abused' chart hold true for me still. I'm much better off for taking therapy, and nobody else has to know. (well, in my case Social Security needed to know due to needing proof of my continuing disability). If you feel like you may benefit from therapy, you most likely will. Hell, even people who think 'therapy is for suckers' should go out and get some. Mental health really need to be a focus for personal care. There's a reason we have so many shootings going on in public places... people aren't taking proper care of their mental health and they boil over. I suggest you go to a quality therapist, even if it's just for a couple of 'trial' visits so they can tell you how much you could benefit from further therapy and what kind of issues you have and how they can be taken care of. At least get a baseline of what your issues may be and how they can get taken care of. I've benefited a lot from realizing that a lot of my issues are autism related and I'm not actually broken... just different.

My daughter didn't want medication either. But after your in therapy, her therapist let her know she'd probably come as far as she could without the help of medication. After she thought about it a little bit she agreed to try something. It was the difference between night and day. She was in her senior year in high school when she started taking medication, and it made the biggest difference. A year after she graduated she was weaned off, and she's been fine ever since. Even the bravest strongest person sometimes needs help. And is wonderful as your boyfriend is,therapy is an amazing thing. It might take a while to find a therapist that you like,But it is absolutely worth it. Keep going, keep working on it, But please don't try and do it by yourself. That's not a thing.

Another thing to try, if using a monitor/ tv, may be to reduce the size of the KZbin window, so that the "font" appears smaller. Enlarging it on a big screen can make it appear fuzzy. PS A lady doesn't reveal her age, but I'm quite well acquainted with age related vision changes. But, I hope I wouldn't post a comment blaming the uploader for poor video quality, if the fault is my needing new glasses... the "what people think depression is" versus "what depression actually is" is honestly the best describing of depressions. it sux massiv to be depressen and i really hate it when people try to narrow it down to lazyness. i hate being lazy... i also hate doin stuff because my brain is constantly reminding me that it will never be good or good enough at all. imagine doin you best and you, YOUSELF, are telling you that it aint enough... thats the shit i have to endure the whole day. from simple tasks like cooking food or take a shower to complicated tasks like goin to work or interacting with people. i wish so hard i would not have this sickness. it is utterly disgusting to be your own most worst enemy. and thats what depression is.
