You didn’t show any of the screens actual visuals, how it operates, does it work as intended, what is the actual output, any lighting issues, etc. 🤷♂️

I have the 7" version if this and it works great. I use it as my main home server (Samba, Intranet, Plex server, SSH) with a Pi 4GB and 2TB SSD all powered from the Pi USB power adapter. The screen is being used as a scrolling picture gallery using Fes. 15Watts max power usage.

I have the 7 inch version, if I use it as a monitor for a pc it works fine but when it's connected to the Pi and I switch it on I see the Pi logo then it flickers and I see nothing. Is there a fix? Tnx JD.
@BillyNoMates19742 жыл бұрын
@@ON8EI that could be the power supply is now beefy enough to power the pi and the screen. Are you using the official pi power supply ? This works fine for me powering the pi, a 7 inch screen and a 2tb hard drive

I do lot of 3D Printing with Robotics and I still do printing but no longer do robotics because I refuse to pay scalper prices for Raspberry Pi's. I also converted my pool to a salt water pool to avoid scalpers selling Chlorine. It's a bad bad world we now live in. Since COVID, which I never got vaccinated and never got COVID, but since then the greed has become intolerable. I bought a competitors screen made by Uperfect and it is monitoring my Raspberry, one I had from the times when prices were normal, but I am still figuring out how to engage the touch screen capabilities. Nice video.

Hey man, thanks for the video! I am planning a campervan project. I've come across Raspberry Pi in my search for solutions to the problem of finding a way to have, at least, the majority of my planned electrical conveniences connected to a central control unit. My intention, is to have a CCTV system and motion lights on the outside of the vehicle, light system inside the vehicle, stereo system and potentially some others like outside spotlights and internal air quality sensor. I would like to have some kind of touchscreen or tablet that allows me to use the internet and give basic commands to these electrical conveniences via a digital button, such as on/off, CCTV recording, volume control, etc.. Everything needs to be wired and not wireless. I would also like to have a manual isolation switch for both WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities should a need arise to utilise them. My question is, is this feasible? If so, what would be a fair price to pay someone with the skills to do it for me? Beyond editing ARK Server Code to spawn exotic dinos, I have no coding or programming experience 😂 Thank you for your time 🙏🏻

Question, as I'm a noobie with PI...I have a ham radio that uses a Pi4 with the 7in touch screen using the ribbon cable works great...I would also like to connect a standard HDMI monitor using the Micro HDMI connection on the Pi at the same time..Is this possible before i start drilling the case to put an extension micro to case mount standard HDMI?

Doesn't this have problem that it can't actually power down at all? I was thinking that this kinda stuff might be cool to put PIR-sensor on raspberry and activate display with it when you're like meter away from it. Yup, I was thinking like low power Home Assistant kiosk display. No wait. Rewinded again the vid. So the display does connect via HDMI "siamese" adapter? Then that might actually work if GPIO is still possible to connect.

thanks. I wish I could do special effects like that more often but that portal took me like 4 hours to cut out frame by frame. I've been thinking of moving from Adobe premiere to DaVinci resolve because I hear doing special effects like that is a lot easier in DaVinci. I just have to teach myself how to use it first and I haven't had much time lately.
