Have 2 Pis in daily operation with a 7" (3b+) & 10"(CM4) touch screens using the display cable interface and mounted on the back of those displays. Display cable makes a 'neet' interface but some have a 'special' adapter (on the back, not side) which is neet also (no bulky HDMI cable).

Thanks for the great and informative videos, mate! I’m looking for a 10” or 11” battery-powered touchscreen so I can set up a portable Raspberry Pi system. Maybe I can attach the Pi 500 board to the back.

Great video! 👍🏽 I ended up purchasing the WIMAXIT 15.6” display which has VESA mounting holes on the back. I need to mount this monitor next to my CNC so I can use it as an offline controller.

just tested my RPI 4 with the 7in. It lights up with either connection; both micro-usb and GPIO light up the display.

I play the drums and i use my wide screen laptop to display the sheet music. It sits on a bar stool in fron of my electronic drumkit and acoustic kit when i move it. But the laptop even with wide screen is still not big enough. For one i need glasses but even then i have trouble reading the sheetmusic. So i was gonna see about using my old rasp pi 4 to power a bigger monitor. I just need it to read the sheet music so the rasp pi is fine for that. Now i just need to find a bigger monitor. Those things would be too small for what i need it to do. I need at least a 21 cm diag

I really loved your video on Android 14 for the Raspberry Pi 4B. I have a double SD adapter with a switch to change from my Berryboot OS's to Android. I have the Vilros Keyboard TouchPad Hub and it's like a Stealthy Black C64. I still can't seem to figure out where to paste my Framework ID to make my Play Store run but I have just used APK's to get some things I needed. I am running a 128GB. I used a Fat 32 Formatting tool. Very happy so far. Thanks for the Video.

I have been extremely happy with my Uperfect 15.6 " touch screen monitor from Ali-Express. I got mine when it was cheap.

What price point? Just got a similar brand for 130 usd
@michaeldemers2716Ай бұрын
@creativecoding1 I paid like $124.00. It doesn't have battery and I like that. Plus it goes Vertical or Horizontal. I use it a lot for Pinball Arcade and Pinball FX 2 and Pinball FX3. I use it for my mini PC stuff too with the Raspberry Pi Keyboard Hub in black for extra USB ports. It's also great for my Consolized GBA. Another great purchase from them was the Samsung Galaxy S20 Mini PC. It doesn't have a battery either and does low end Switch. It is a great deal and works with the touch screen. Android OS isn't bad.

I've thought it would cool to have a touchscreen built into the case. The issue is using a tiny touchscreen on Linux sounds kinda like torture. There's a reason even smartphones, with their well optimized touchscreens and software are mostly over 6" now.

Thanks for the info. But, not one resolution mentioned, not in the video nor in the description, aargh! Just why? It takes ages to find out the REAL resolutions through the listings, among all those false claims and fuzzy model id. Bottom line, you are never sure about the real res. of that model, shipped from that vendor, on the listing you are going to click,... until the display is at home! A mention of the display technology would be nice too,

So I’m using the wimaxit 15.6 in. Screen and it has a protective case. But when I try to power it using my raspberry pi 400 and it flashes on for a second and shuts off and repeats that cycle, is there any way for me to reliably power it using my raspberry pi? Or do I have to use the power supply?
