Seasons 6-8 are still some of the worst Spongebob . Modern Spongebob now is in the renaissance era seasons 9-current. Outside of a few duds here and it’s watchable. Granted modern Spongebob has problems but it’s not as bad as specters past

Your YTPs back in the day were golden. I loved all the StarCraft references you put in them, seems like you were a fan of that game. I think you should always make what you feel is rewarding. If you only make content for clicks and engagement, quality will inevitably go down since you wont be invested in the actual content for long

Me and a friend watched that video a few days ago, both for the sake of my nostalgia and for showing him the cringe-worthy, delightful experience. It was one of if not *the* first youtube video essays I saw in my life, and one that I still look back on from time to time. Seeing this video really puts a lot of things into perspective for me, including how long ago that all happened.

SpongeBob's dark age is a past thing. So, why are people still hating on the later seasons? SpongeBob is going quite strong in 2023. The post-movie era is not too terrible. It's just a mixed bag. There are many cartoons that have worse episodes.

Maybe it’s because they don’t have the same impact like the classic episodes had on a lot of people when they were younger. There are some very funny episodes in the new seasons but there are other episodes that are duds and some that even worse are annoying or infuriating.
