My parents gave us the first SpongeBob controller, and that was quite interesting. Certain glitches would come up, such as whenever I did the platforming levels (probably the hardest one) SpongeBob would die from the air. It happened rarely, but those levels were frustrating. The “death” sound was something too engraved in my brain at the time.

All this spongebob themed food reminds me of the spongebob cookbook (that i still own!) which practically helped teach me how to cook. There were different sections for each character and foods that they'd cook, like sponge cake for spongebob, crepes for squidward, or napoleon cake for plankton. The recipes would also contain plenty of pictures and even dialogue of the character talking about the food. I think the premise was that the characters were all part of a cooking competition, and in the end Mr. Krabs won with krabby patty cakes. I should cook from that book again, the recipes were honestly really good!

I used to own some SpongeBob merch as a little girl because that show marked my childhood but it was mostly just plushies, figurines and the such. Didn’t know the merchandise line for the show was THIS huge. When the late Stephen Hillenburg created him, it was because he only wanted to combine cartoons and marine biology (his two true passions) to make children happy. He never expected this entire boom.
