My friend briefly lived in Eccles whilst at University. On my first train ride over there a grinning, bearded man in aviators boarded when we stopped in the nearby town. He then sat down with an old fashioned cassette player and proceeded to loudly play the entirety of the dialogue from the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang whilst continually laughing and reciting every word (which he’d obviously learnt off by heart.) Everyone left the carriage. It was utterly terrifying (and quite impressive.)

i am swiss and live in germany but i had a daughter - sadly she passed away over ten years ago - who lived in london. and we went together over 25 years ago to rochester and i went alone one day to canterbury. i do not like churches because of the power they demonstrate but admire the ingenieurs and the masons and woodworkers and canterbury - built by anselm - is breathtaking. in royal tunbridge well i had a course with peter goldmann in spiritual psychotherapy over thirty years ago. good memories of all these places and looking forward to this video. i have seen a few with you and your make good videos. greeings and happy new year from stralsund on the eastern sea

Good to see you doing a walk local(ish) to me. I wasn't aware of this route through to Ramsgate so may have to check that out at some point. My favourite snacks are Hula Hoops (ready salted), Fry's Turkish Delight and a mid-walk pint of cold cider at a pleasant hostelry, and maybe another at the end🍺🍺

I’ve got an uneaten pack of those Tesco strawberry laces too, but my fave snack are Jelly Babies. I buy a big packet which I keep sealed with a food bag clip from Ikea 👍 plus I also carry Bel Vita blueberry breakfast bars too. Stay cool and thanks for another great video

Yes a sun emoji is a great idea cool dude. This was filmed with a GoPro, I am pretty impressed so far, but it is a bit glitchy. I was always film in 4K and I am surprised how good it looks on the TV.

Hi Marek, since you asked someone to explain the car bumper i thought I'd oblige. I reg checked it and it has a current tax and MOT, so you could have taken it onto the road legally. Also, a recent MOT report said that the only issue with the car was a worn tyre. Having seen the video footage I'd have to disagree. I'd say the fact that the whole bit of the car behind the front bumper is missing is probably a bigger problem, but I'm not a qualified mechanic.

I too went on a journey with this vid although my self-discoveries don't reflect well on me: I let out an audible gasp of excitement at the Waitrose distribution centre, and then chose shirt D which looks like something you'd see on a kids TV presenter from the 90's . Snack-wise I like apples and crisps. I don't allow myself to buy strawberry laces anymore because I can easily eat a whole packet in one sitting, squashing several laces at a time into a ball before shoving it into my fat mouth, and that's not the person I want to be.

This is basically a walk through my back yard and hope you enjoyed it. I can confirm the vines are fairly new as the farm was purchased a few years back and then all that stuff was put up. Favourite walking snack, nakd bars. Taste nice, compact and good calorie content.

@@cdwc they are not ready yet. No grape has come from them so far but I suspect they will be this or next year. The friars is a great place. Went to a catholic school nearby so spent a few days there each year and always found quality merch. Look forward to the Chilham to canterbury leg. I recommended that during lock down so glad you’ve managed to get there. Hope you saw some carp in the lakes.

The abandoned car bumper put me in mind of the film Tremors 😂 I saw my first youtuber in the wild this week! I came up over ladyside pike ridge and accidentally interrupted them doing some running away from camera shots. Slightly ruined their extreme hike vibe by lumbering ever closer into shot, followed by a tiny chihuahua in a purple harness. I don't think we'll make the edit👍

Hello cool dude. In answer to your questions. 1. Yes, that was the ghost of Gundulf. 2. Carlos is not religious, but he likes churches so yes. 3. I have to order the T-shirts in batches of 50 to make any profit, so I will probably just stick to the organic green ones and the 'Stay Cool' ones which should be coming soon for now.

Hi Marek, what a great video and walk. I used to live in Maidstone and have done all of that walk in part many times. We now live in Hythe on the coast of Kent. We do a great walk to Canterbury from here a few times a year. If every you want to come down here and do a couple of walks, I would happily put you up for a few days. If you wanted company, I would also love to join you on the walks. Open invitation, and as I am self-employed, anytime is good for me. Keep up the good work.
